Tyson Venegas bags platinum ticket after wowing 'American Idol' judges
After watching Tyson effortlessly belt out Billy Joe's 'new York State of Mind' while playing the piano, you might find it hard to believe that this youngster once suffered from speech disorders. After struggling with delayed speech during his childhood, Tyson took to singing as a way of coping with it. So, when judges watched Tyson's flawless performance they couldn't help but marvel at the sheer talent he possessed. Lionel was so surprised that he insisted on having Tyson's mother join him on the stage to verify and confirm her son's age.
When Tyson's mother revealed that her son decided to become a singer after watching Lionel perform at a concert, the judge couldn't help but point out how it was a full-circle moment. Lionel explained how he too felt inspired watching Tyson's audition, just the way the youngster felt watching Lionel many years ago. All the judges unanimously declared that Tyson's performance was one of the best ones they had ever seen on the show before handing out the platinum ticket to him.
