Lucy Love proved Luke Bryan wrong

Lucy is a single mother of two who hails from Holly Grove, Arkansas. She entered the 'American Idol' while dancing which forced Katy Perry to show her own moves. She then sang 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', a song by Marvin Gaye. But her goofiness was heard in her music and judges were not impressed with her performance. While Richie and Perry did recognize her talent, Bryan was the one who didn't think that she can get through the competition. Richie and Perry asked Lucy to sing another song for her children Noah and Nia. And after collecting her emotions, Love sang 'Listen to the Melody', a song by John Ussery. The trio of judges was blown away by her performance. Moreover, Bryan also got to change his opinion. The singer said, "This is the journey to prove people wrong and you proved me wrong." The judges praised Lucy saying, "incredible... soulful... vocal." Lucy astonished all three judges and got the golden ticket to Hollywood.

The 'American Idol' auditions will feature a young single mother named Lucy Love, singing her heart out for her children. She has struggled through life to reach this stage and never wants her children to face the same.

Another tweeted, "I don't watch American Idol all that much, but Lucy Love was great. Super voice and range." Third user wrote, "Many times people who have been repeatedly hurt, use humor as a defense mechanism to protect themselves. Lucy Love, I get you. I understand that. You have a God given gift. All you need to do, is remember that, and sing."
