Will there be ‘XO, Kitty’ Season 4? Here’s what we know after that airport confession
There is something about teen dramas that keeps pulling people back in, no matter how many times hearts get tangled, or plans go sideways, and ‘XO, Kitty’ seems to have cracked that code yet again. After two seasons packed with messy feelings and awkward truths, the third chapter has arrived. It brought Kitty Song Covey right to the edge of something new: her final year at KISS. Played by Anna Cathcart, Kitty steps into her senior year with a plan. She creates a ‘Senior Sunset List’, which is basically her way of making sure she squeezes every last drop out of her time at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). One by one, she works through the list, but things rarely go as expected. Still, by the time the season wraps, every item gets checked off.
Notably, Season 3 wraps things up with a moment that feels straight out of a classic romance playbook. Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) realizes he cannot picture his life without Kitty, and instead of sitting with that feeling, he acts on it. He rushes to the airport, hoping he is not too late. When he finds her, he does not hold back. There is an apology, and then he finally says what he has been holding in for so long. Min Ho expressed, “I don't know what my future holds, but I want it to be with you. And I couldn't let you go without telling you that. Or without saying... I love you.” The two share a meaningful moment before boarding a business class flight to Portland, Oregon.
Now, with Season 3 officially out in the world, having premiered on April 2, fans are already asking the obvious question: what’s next? Here’s the honest answer. Nothing has been confirmed yet. There is no official word from Netflix about a fourth season. It is still early, and decisions like these usually depend on how the latest season performs, so for now, it’s a waiting game. And yes, that can be a little frustrating. If the show does get another round, though, there is a pretty good chance that familiar faces will return. Alongside Cathcart and Heon Lee, viewers would likely see Minyeong Choi as Dae and Gia Kim as Yuri back in action.
Then there is Anthony Keyvan as Q, Regan Aliyah as Juliana, Hojo Shin as Jiwon, Peter Thurnwald as Alex, and a whole group of supporting characters. If Season 4 happens, expect the same group to stick around, maybe with a few new additions just to shake things up a bit. Story-wise, there is an expected direction the show could take. The series has already split Kitty’s time at KISS into clear phases. The first season covered the beginning of her junior year, the second wrapped it up, and now Season 3 pushes into senior territory. That leaves one obvious path forward: her final semester. But for now, the only question is whether the green light will follow.
