Why did 'IT K-pop duo' Super Junior's Heechul and Twice's Momo break up? Fans say 'she's free'
One of the most-talked-about K-pop power couples, Super Junior Heechul and Twice's Momo have reportedly broken up and Heechul-Momo fandom has mixed reactions about it. The K-pop duo officially acknowledged their relationship on January 2, 2020. The couple reportedly went from ‘senior-junior’ dynamic to slowly blossom into a full-fledged ‘IT’ K-pop couple.
The popular K-pop pair has called it quits after 1 year and 6 months of dating. Agencies of the K-pop couple, Heechul and Momo, have confirmed the split. Label SJ and JYP Entertainment talked to Korean publication Sports Donga where JYP told, “We’ve checked with the artist, and it is true that they broke up.” Label SJ noted, “Please understand that we cannot answer the details of it as it is the artist’s private life.”

Why did Super Junior Heechul and Twice Momo break up?
The K-pop couple who had an unquestionably adorable visual chemistry and were often found sharing snaps of the duo together have broken up due to their busy schedule, an official has stated. "Both of them were very busy with their activities, so as the relationship started to fall apart, I know that they ended their romantic relationship and returned to their fellow seniors and juniors", the insider revealed.
While the K-couple officially accepted their relationship back in January 2020, the duo sparked dating rumors long before that. In August 2019, fans took it to social media to discuss the possibility of a relationship between Super Junior and Twice stars after Kim Heechul pointed out Momo to be his 'ideal type' in a variety show. Fans also certified the K-pop couple as one of the 'top idol' romance stories of our current time. In a world of K-pop, where relationships remain a somewhat taboo topic, the 'IT' couple set an example for the future generations of K-pop, fans opined.
Twice fans say, 'she's free'
While some fans are 'heartbroken' at the news of the K-pop duo splitting up, others have expressed that Momo is now 'free' for a new chapter of the future. An excited fan tweeted, "THE BADDEST B**CH MOMO IS FREE SHES FREE!" Another heartbroken fan wrote, "NOO THEY WERE SO CUTE, wishing them the best!" To which a fan chimed in saying, "IF YOU MET SOMEONE YOU LIKE, YOUD DATE THEM. SO WHAT IS WRONG WITH HEECHUL AND MOMO DATING. KIDS, SIT DOWN. IF YOU'RE UNHAPPY WITH YOUR LOVE LIFE, LET THEM BE HAPPY!"
