J-Hope: All you need to know about his viral TikTok dance challenge
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: BTS' J-hope's latest single 'On the Streets', featuring J. Cole has birthed a new TikTok challenge which has created a buzz among fans all over the world. The recently released music video expresses gratitude to BTS Army (fans of the BTS group) who have backed him and the K-pop boy band — BTS.
The rapper's lyrics refer to Army, who he which he prays for, wishing for their well-being and support. J-Hope has also referred to the single as his "gift" to Army before he enlists in the South Korean military. His fellow BTS member, Kim Seokjin, also known as Jin, has already enlisted. All the members are slated to enlist in the coming months after wrapping up their solo projects, promising fans they will 'reunite' as a group in 2025.

What exactly is the 'On the Street' dance challenge?
J-Hope’s track is all over TikTok after the single was released on March 3. The following day, the official TikTok account of BTS shared a video of the two members, Jimin and J-Hope, dancing on a rooftop to the solo track, with the caption "Happening on the street, a nice and warm two-shot."

The dance challenge for "On the street" began with the NewJeans member Minji and Hyein pressing play as they turned to bow and greet J-Hope, who then playfully danced a little of the band's most recent song, 'OMG' before they start the official dance challenge for 'On the Street'.

Kim Taehyung, also known as V, joined Jung Hoseok aka J-Hope for the dance challenge too in HYBE's practice rooms. Members of the ARMY were able to witness the 'VHope' reunion — as they affectionately refer to them. The video was posted on BigHit's official Instagram handle where the two showcased their cool dance moves as they charmed their way into people's hearts.

J-Hope enters Billboard’s Hot 100 as his highest solo entry
On March 14, Billboard announced that J-Hope’s new solo ‘On the Street’ featuring J-Cole is at No. 60 on the Hot 100. 'On the street,' which is J-Hope's highest charting solo single on the Hot 100 list, also swept the No. 2 spot on the Digital Song Sales chart. The single also captured the No. 16th spot on both Billboard's Global 200 and Global Excl. US chart this week. J-Hope also re-entered the Artist 100 at No. 31. Earlier in July 2022, J-Hope had become the fifth member of BTS to hit No. 1 on Billboard‘s Emerging Artists chart as a soloist, thanks to the first-week success of his single 'More.'
