BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 viewers were treated to some intriguing and entertaining surprises during the latest episode. As Katy Perry and Lionel Richie were headlined to London to perform at King Charles' coronation concert, Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morissette took over the judges' chairs for a night.

Ahead of the performances, Katy and Lionel video-chatted into the broadcast to say hello to the contestants, Alanis, Sheeran and Luke Bryan. Notably, Katy and Lionel brought in special guests King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla. Alongside the contestants, Sheeran and Alanis also took the stage to deliver stirring performances. However, after some outstanding episodes, viewers have to wait for a week to stream the next episode.
