Who stars in 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7? Meet the cast of WEtv's reality show
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 will cover the ups and downs of the Shannon family of seven. 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 is all set to air on February 9, 2024, at 9 pm ET and will be available to stream on ALLBLK every Tuesday after.
'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 6 ended with Mama June's court battle with her daughter and Alana Thompson's legal guardian, Lauryn Efird over child support. The season also witnessed family group therapy sessions, Alana's college application process, and June's marriage to ex-husband Mike Thompson.
WEtv summarized Season 7 and stated, "The family faces their biggest challenges and triumphs yet as Alana crosses the graduation stage; Mama continues to conquer her past mistakes and Pumpkin does everything in her power to keep it all together.”

'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 cast
Joining the OG cast of the show Mama June Shannon, Alana Thompson, Jessica Shannon, and Lauryn Efird will be Mama June's husband Justin Stroud and Alana's boyfriend Dralin Carswell.
This season will be the last appearance for June Shannon's eldest daughter Anna Cardwell who died on December 11, 2023, due to cancer.
Mama June Shannon
June Shannon is the matriarch of the Shannon family. She was born on August 10, 1979. She is the mother of Anna, Jessica, Lauryn and Alana. June became pregnant at 14 with Anna Cardwell with David Dunn.
June then pursued her relationship with a sex offender, her daughters Jessica and Lauryn were fathered by Michael Anthony Ford. She also dated Mark McDaniel who sexually abused Anna.
Her youngest Alana was born in 2005 to Mike Thompson and her. June came out as bisexual in 2015. June began dating Eugene Edward Doak in 2017. He had a criminal history and both of them were arrested in March 2019 for drug paraphernalia charges and possession of controlled substances.
The couple worked hand in hand out of Florida prison. However, Mama June married Justin Strod whom she met in therapy and they got married in 2022 in court and publicly in February 2023.
In the trailer, June is seen being accused of stealing Alana's funds for college. Lauryn blasts her mother for taking away Alana's money. Not just this June also has to deal with Anna's sudden cancer diagnosis and her sudden plan to get married to Tony Ederidge.
Presently Mama June was slammed by many for making money out of Anna Cardwell's death and is even in a legal custody battle with Michael, Anna's ex-husband for Anna's daughters.
Alana Honey Boo Boo Thompson
June Shannon's youngest daughter is Alana, who rose to fame on 'Toddlers & Tiaras' as Honey Boo Boo. She was born on August 28, 2005. She continued to star in reality shows such as her own TLC spinoff called 'Here Comes Boo Boo,' 'Dancing Stars: Juniors,' 'The Masked Singer and Mama June: Road to Redemption.'
In 2019, Alana moved out of her parent's house and started living with Lauryn who got her legal guardianship. Alana does not have a good relationship with her birth mom June Shannon.
June Shannon was arrested in 2019 for possessing drugs. Alana is currently dating 21-year-old Dralin Carswell. Darlin was arrested on February 28, 2023, for DUI, fleeing police, and outstanding warrants after a three-mile car chase in Monroe County, Georgia. Alana was a passenger in the car during the chase.
In the trailer, Alana is seen with her high school graduation and crying over her financial situation. She discovers her money is all gone and her account was managed by her mother June Shannon.
Lauryn Efird and Alana Thompson blast June for taking up her money. Alana is seen telling her boyfriend Dralin Carswell 'If I don't decide, my scholarship money is up.' Among the chaos, Alana is seen being accepted into college.
Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird
Mama June's third oldest daughter Lauryn is nicknamed Pumpkin and was born on January 7, 2000. Lauryn grew up believing her biological father was Mark McDaniel who was sent to jail for child molestation in 2004.
When Lauryn was 14, June revealed that Mark was not her father but it was her ex-Micahel Anthony Ford. June agreed that she lied to her family about it. Lauryn joined the family's TV debut in 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo', 'Mama June: From Not to Hot', and 'Mama June: Family Crisis'.
In December 2017, Lauryn became a mother when she and her partner Joshua Efird welcomed daughter Ella Grace. In 2018, they got married in Las Vegas. The pair expanded their family as they welcomed their son Bentley in July 2021.
In May 2022, the couple welcomed twins welcomed twins a girl and a boy. In June 2022, Lauryn was officially granted full custody of her younger sister Alana, who was living with the couple as her mother June was arrested on drug possession charges in 2019. June was also directed by the court to pay $800 per month in child support until Alana turns 18.
In the trailer Lauryn is seen telling her mother June Shannon, "You took her f*****g money" followed by Alana crying and yelling, "Oh my f*****g God, bro." Lauryn told Dralin that she won't let him 'f**k up Alana's life.'
Meanwhile, Anna's cancer treatment made her worried and she stated, "I don't need any more stress on me." She is also seen trying to juggle between her toddlers and newborn twins with her husband in a clip released by WEtv.
Jessica 'Chubbs' Shannon
Jessica is the second oldest daughter of Mama June Shannon. She became famous for her appearance on the show 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' on TLC where her family's life is documented.
Jessica took some time off the limelight to get a college degree and graduated in 2018. In 2019, she made a few appearances on the WEtv show 'Mama June: From Not to Hot' and 'Mama June: Family Crisis'.
In February 2020 she underwent a massive makeover. She opted for a weight loss surgery and had an Orbera Ballon inserted into her stomach, liposuction, and tummy tuck by Beverly Hills surgeons Dr Sam Kashani and Dr Michael K Obeng.
She also got her smile fixed by Dr Aamir Wahab. Jessica as of 2023 is dating a single mom ShyannMcCant and she came out as bisexual.
Justin Stroud
Mama June Shannon married Justin Stroud on February 18, 2023, for the second time after they first tied the knot in March 2022. On March 23, 2022, they had a courthouse wedding. Justin met June when she was in treatment for drug abuse and they struck a friendship.
Shannon proposed to Justin within a few months of their dating. Justin seems to have a good relationship with June's daughters.
Darlin Carswell
Draslin Carswell is a famous personality and college student from Georgia, US. He rose to fame as a boyfriend of Alana Thompson. The couple gained huge media attention for all the wrong reasons. Dralin was arrested for driving under the influence and fleeing from the authorities.
Alana Thompson was in the passenger seat when Monroe County deputies tried to make a traffic stop. Dralin was arrested for DUI, fleeing, following too closely, failing to maintain lanes, and speeding.
In the trailer, Alana is seen getting confused about whether she wants to pursue college or move in with Dralin. Even Dralin's legal issues increased a lot.
Late Anna Cardwell
Anna was the oldest daughter of Shannon's children. She was born on August 28, 1994, when June was 15. Her father is June's ex-boyfriend David Dunn, who never joined the family on reality TV.
Anna's relationship with her mother was also not good and she moved out in 2003. She was also a victim of abuse by June Shannon's then-husband Mark McDaniel. Anna moved in with her grandmother and briefly returned to her mother's place in 2012 ahead of 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo's premiere.
Anna was a mother of two children of her own. She welcomed daughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth whose biological father is unknown. Two years later she married her boyfriend Michael Cardwell in 2014 and they had a daughter Kylee Madison in 2015. Anna and Michael separated in 2017.
In 2015, Anna sued her mother for allegedly unpaid appearances on 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' for which she claimed she and her daughter Kaitlyn owned $300,00. The mother and daughter never shared a good relationship however they reunited for Shannon's nuptials in February 2023.
On March 30, 2023, Anna confirmed that she had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. On December 10, 2023, she passed away after a 10-month-long battle.
This season will also show the final days of Anna's death. The show will feature how the family took care of Anna and her daughters during the challenging times. Anna was open about her health condition and wanted her fans to know about her situation.
As per reports, Anna allowed the camera crew to document her final hours of life and even invited them to film her last hours. However, the production decided against recording her last hours.
Anna's wedding to Tony Elridge which took place just after her cancer diagnosis will also be shown in the series. The trailer also showed Lauryn's husband Joshua Efird officiating the wedding ceremony before Anna and Tony leaned in and kissed.
