Mama June's daughter Jessica Shannon discloses her relationship with single teen mom after coming out as bisexual
GORDON, GEORGIA: Jessica Shannon, 'Mama June's' rarely-seen daughter, disclosed her relationship with single mom Shyann McCant last year. Jessica and her lover Shyann may attempt to keep their personal lives private, but fans are still curious.
June Shannon, a Georgia native, revealed in February 2023, that she and her family will be returning to screens for the current season of 'Mama June: Family Crisis.' 'Mama June: Family Crisis' was recorded in July 2022, after Mama June's daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird was given custody of her youngest daughter, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, and would capture their new family dynamic. The series will follow the family as they have their first chat following Alana's heated court struggle for child support. The series has also hinted that Mama June's wedding to her new husband, Justin Stroud, will be included. Her children, notably Jessica, are clearly unhappy and believe she only wants to work on their relationships because she is getting married.

Mama June and Pumpkin come out in a joint interview
Mama June, the matriarch of 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo', stated in 2015 that she is bisexual. During a joint appearance with Inside Edition, her daughter Pumpkin also acknowledged being drawn to women. When asked if she was sexually attracted to both men and women, the reality TV star said, "I am, yes. I'm not going to lie." In a separate interview with TMZ, Mama June said that she had had three lesbian encounters. "It's no big deal, I was young and experimented with it, never went pro though just played the minor leagues," she remarked in cryptic words.
Pumpkin, whose actual name is Lauryn, told Inside Edition that she is grateful for a caring mother. "I am thankful that I have the support that other people don’t have," she remarked. "You cannot hide who you truly are." Pumpkin intended to divulge her sexual orientation during the interview, but she turned it on its head when she told the cameras that her mother is "gay too." While Mama June married Justin again in March of this year, Pumpkin and her husband Josh are currently mother of four children.
The forthcoming season of 'Mama June: Family Crisis' will include a tearful family reunion. The show will premiere on WE tv on Friday, May 5, at 9 pm ET/PT.
