NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The king of bridal is officially engaged! 'Say Yes to the Dress' host Randy Fenoli announced his engagement with boyfriend Mete Kobal. The couple has been dating each other for almost a year now. Finally, they are saying yes to the tux. 

A few hours ago, Fenoli posted a photo alongside his fiance on Instagram, showing off their engagement ring. The couple wore a matching blue velvet suit layered with a white shirt and black bow tie. "Yes, It's Official! We're Engaged!!" Fenoli wrote in the caption for the post. He further tagged his soon-to-be-groom and claimed, "We're so in love!!" Fenoli then thanked the wedding planner and other helpers. Ever since the engagement news circled all over the internet, fans have been eager to know more about Fenoli's boyfriend. The 58-year-old star popped the "big question" to Kobal at Marmara Park Avenue hotel in New York City on December 10, reported People. Fenoli told Kobal that they were going to have dinner at the Museum of Modern Art. But instead of doing that, he invited almost 50 guests, including friends and family, to wait in the lobby until Kobal said "yes" to the proposal. Fenoli then lit the room and got down on one knee, while, Kobal remain shocked and surprised by what was happening. "I just wanted to make it really special for him and make a memory that we would have the rest of our lives," said Fenoli.

Who is Mete Kobal?

Mete Kobal is originally from Turkey, as per Opoyi. There is very less known about Kobal on the internet. According to his Facebook profile, Kobal studied business at Hudson County Community College in New Jersey, United States. He further claims to have studied İşletme i.e. business at Anadolu University, Turkey. He also studies MAKİNA, a subgenre of hardcore techno originating in Spain, from Sakarya University, Turkey. Kobal started doing the job at The Marmara Park Avenue in 2018. According to his social media profile, he is a Food and Beverage manager at the Manhattan-based restaurant. Kobal claims himself to be a "dog lover" and is often seen posting about his pet friend named Chewy Fenoli. 

Kobla is also a music lover and a book reader. Fenoli's fiance is also into photography. Kobal is often seen enjoying parties, going to concerts, and enjoying drag shows. Kobal has a YouTube channel where he is seen posting a few contents every now and then. Kobal started posting pictures with Fenoli this year in April.



 

A look into Randy Fenoli and Mete Kobal's relationship

The couple met each other at Marmara in January this year, as per Page Six. The host of 'Say Yes to the Dress' never thought that he will get married one day. "I’m the king of bridal. I’ve been doing this bridal for 30 years, and I honestly just never thought it was going to happen for me," said Fenoli. However, his perception changed when he met Kobal. Fenoli and Kobal have been together ever since knowing and meeting each other. The couple was often seen hanging out with each other and posting pictures on social media. And, now the couple is looking forward to their nuptials. 

"We've been talking a lot about the wedding," said Fenoli to People. The couple has also picked their outfits. A destination wedding might be waiting ahead for Fenoli and Kobal. Fenoli said that he is thinking about tieing the knot on Princess Cruise Lines' which goes to Greece and Italy, before landing in Istanbul. "We might do a little ceremony in maybe Italy or on the ship or something and then we'll get to Istanbul," said Fenoli. He further added that the couple might do a reception in Istanbul, including their friends and family. 



 

Fenoli claims to be "giddy" in love. He says, "I'm so in love." The newly engaged star adds, "And every day just gets more amazing. It really does. It's easy. It's nothing that I thought a relationship was and nothing like I've ever had in the past. It's unbelievable." Fenoli has been preparing his surprise proposal for months with the help of wedding planner Blum. The designer of festivities claimed, "Randy's vision was over-the-top, lush décor, a big wow moment and all his family and friends in one room to celebrate his proposal to Mete." She further added, "As anyone who knows Randy either personally or from television knows, 'understated' is not in his vocabulary." With the help of Mixed Greens Event designs, the planning of engagement was done. Fenoli and Kobal's engagement was captured by several photographers as they put the engagement ring on each other's hand, standing in front of the wall decorated with red flowers and green hanging leaves.

'Say Yes to the Dress' Season 22 is scheduled to release on February 4, 2023, at 8 pm ET on TLC.
