LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During the most recent episode of 'The Voice'Season 25, the viewers were treated to a performance by Corey Curtis, a 22-year-old singer hailing from a quaint town called Summerville in Georgia.

Corey took over the stage to sing John Mayer's 'Waiting on the World to Change', and Chance the Rapper was the only coach to turn his chair during his Blind Audition. After his performance, Chance offered some valuable feedback to Corey. He advised Corey to enunciate a specific note to bring more emphasis to his performance.

On the other hand, Reba McEntire admitted to loving Corey's voice. She chose not to turn her chair, confident that he would thrive as a member of Team Chance. When we talk about John Legend, he recognized a unique character in Corey's voice but urged him to work on developing a larger vocal range.

Soon after, the netizens shared their stance on Corey's Blind Audition.

One social media user wrote, "Good tone, but didn’t really showcase much. Giving me Kris Allen vibes."

Another user added, "It seems like they are more klunkers than ringers tonight."

One comment read, "I feel like these are just potential singers not the best so just decent."

Followed by a user who penned, "I do like his voice and I love that song for him, but I do however woner if he's good enough to be a star though."

A user chimed in, "I think he'll get crushed quickly. It appears that he cannot hit/hold high notes."

Did Corey Curtis compete in 'American Idol'?

At the youthful age of 22, Corey Curtis has already made a remarkable name for himself in the music industry, captivating audiences with his soulful voice and heartfelt compositions. Despite his humble beginnings, Corey's passion for music knows no bounds as he continues to hone his craft and pursue his dreams of creating timeless melodies that resonate with listeners worldwide.

This is not his first appearance in a singing competition, as he previously showcased his talents on Season 20 of 'American Idol' when he was merely 20 years old, managing to impress the judges and make it through the grueling rounds until the culmination of Hollywood Week.

With that being said, if devoted fans of American Idol momentarily diverted their attention, they would probably have failed to catch even a glimpse of him. Unfortunately, his audition did not make it to the broadcast, resulting in an estimated mere six seconds of screen time for him.

“The fact that I even made it to the end of Hollywood Week, blows my mind. Especially coming from a small town where there’s almost little to no opportunity. I’ll truly cherish this American Idol journey for the rest of my life," he shared on social media.

When did 'The Voice' contestant Corey Curtis start singing?

During an exclusive interview with American Idol Unaired, Corey attributed his undeniable passion for music to his upbringing as a 'bored kid.' This propelled him towards exploring various musical avenues, leading him to take up drumming at the tender age of 10.

Not one to be confined by a singular instrument, Corey's insatiable curiosity compelled him to delve into the world of piano-playing at the age of 11, followed closely by his foray into strumming the six strings of a guitar at the age of 12.

It was during this pivotal year in his life that Corey also discovered his vocal prowess and embarked on a journey of singing, further fueling his love affair with music.

When Corey was a child, he and his siblings came together to create a Christian music ensemble known as 'The Young Disciples.' They shared the stage for approximately three years before his brothers decided to veer away from the music industry, meanwhile, Corey remained committed to pursuing a music career.

Corey characterizes his music as a fusion of acoustic pop with his unique touch, drawing inspiration primarily from the likes of Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, and Dean Lewis.
