The breakdown moment happened after Tongi was voted Season 21's 'American Idol' winner during the finale episode. Katy sobbed in the video and admitted, "I'm still crying." She then yelled "Stop it!" to Luke after she realized she was her was recording her. Katy further said, "Don't take advantage of my sensitive, vulnerable heart!" as tears flowed from her eyes. The pop star then concealed her face with a makeup-covered tissue as she continued to sob. Alongside the video, Luke wrote, "Somebody needs to check on @katyperry after this finale. #idol."
