ABC's 'American Idol' is back with Season 20. This is the fifth season of the reality singing competition series on ABC channel.'American Idol' ran for 15 Seasons on FOX from 2002 to 2016. 

'American Idol' Season 20 is having the same trio of judges including Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel who have been seen in the 'American Idol' since it was relaunched by ABC in 2018.  Betty Maxwell is among the singers reported having auditioned for this season. Betty Maxwell, a 27-year-old is a singer, voice actor, motivational speaker, makeup artist and author. She competed in her first beauty pageant in 2014 and after that, she was crowned as Miss Warner Robins 2015. Later she also became the winner of the Miss Georgia title in September 2015 and after that, she was named Miss America for 2016. Betty is known for her work as an actress in 'House of Many Sorrows', and 'Family.'

Who is Betty Maxwell?

Betty Maxwell is the 27-year-old, also known as Betty Cantrell, who will compete in the 'American Idol' Season 20. Betty performed the aria 'Tu?Tu? Piccolo iddio!' from Madame Butterfly during the talent portion of both pageants. Betty Maxwell's win in the talent portion of the Miss America pageant helped pave the way for her overall victory. After winning Miss America, she moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. Maxwell released the EP 'Nicotine' in 2017 including songs like 'Stranded', 'Sway', 'You Keep Me Hoping', and 'That Kind of Love.' As Miss America, she also performed for the troops and said that performing for troops inspired her first single,' Soldier On', about women in the military.



 



 

Betty Maxwell was born in Warner Robins, Georgia, the USA to Tassie Cantrell and Mike Cantrell. Both her mother and father are physical therapists by profession. While talking about her personal life Betty married Maxwell, first eloping in 2017, then having a formal wedding ceremony about five months later, as they explain in one of their Betty and Spinny video blogs on YouTube.
