SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Will Moseley graced the stage with Johnny Cash's song, 'Folsom Prison Blues'. ABC show judge Lionel Richie chose the song for Will and the viewers were impressed with the aspiring singer's performance.

After the performance, Will believed that Lionel chose the song. He shared that Luke Bryan would've known the Whiskey Myers song and Katy Perry would choose Stapleton. Lionel denied it at first and claimed that he wasn't the one who chose the song.

It turned out that Will was right and Lionel chose Johnny Cash's song. However, Will's other two guesses were wrong as Katy picked Whiskey, and Luke chose Stapleton. Lionel won the round and Will impressed the viewers. A social media user wrote, "I’m not a fan of the music that Will would make, but he gave it his all tonight for sure. I’ll give him that."

Another person added, "It's not easy to take a legendary song by a legendary singer and update it and have it radio ready, but Will Mosely just did it. Fantastic version of Folsom Prison Blues." Another critic noted, "My goodness! #WillMosely just blew it UP on a Johnny Cash song picked by Lionel Ritchie. Absolute WINNER of a performance!"

Another internet user penned, 'I’m surprised it was Lionel… I was going to be biased that Luke was going to select it." Another Instagram user said, "Whoever picked Johnny Cash for Will needs to win automatically. That was fantastic." Another viewer wrote, "Lionel picked a wonderful song choice for Will. I was hoping he would sing that song from the list. Ready for the will concert :)"
