Bravo released the trailer for Season 17 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ on February 24, and it featured familiar faces returning with fresh energy, old grudges, and new storylines. Back in the spotlight are Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton, Angela Oakley, and Kelli Ferrell. And because this show never settles for calm waters, two new women are stepping into the mix: Pinky Cole and K. Michelle. Plus, Cynthia Bailey pops in as a “friend.” The teaser opens in storybook style, with Drew narrating a tale about glamorous “dolls” living in Atlanta who tried to behave themselves. But then she admits that “spilling tea is their favorite game.”

And when that tea is poured? “That's when the dolls come alive.” In the clip, Pinky and K. Michelle make it clear they have questions about Phaedra, who has long balanced her public image as both a reality star and an attorney. Pinky throws out a comment about not trusting lawyers “that don't practice the law,” while K. Michelle adds, “I don't trust no lawyer that eat dead people.” Elsewhere, Phaedra, caught in a later clip, appears genuinely confused by what she’s hearing about herself, “I eat dead people?” Porsha, meanwhile, is stepping into a whole new chapter after finalizing her divorce. The trailer hints at a love triangle that’s anything but simple.

She talks about not expecting “a 6'5" tall man with big arms and tattoos” to enter her life, only to later introduce her girlfriend, Patrice “Sway” McKinney, to the group. And then there’s K. Michelle, who opens up about her music career and the pressure that comes with being the only Black woman signed to a major country label. Pinky, on the other hand, walks in like someone who built her own empire brick by brick. As the founder of Slutty Vegan, she references creating a brand valued at $100 million. Pinky added proudly, “Behind every great man, there's an even better woman.” However, not everyone is riding high.

Shamea, in a conversation with her husband, shares her desire to be financially independent. Kelli reflects on risking her last $50,000 to build her business. Angela appears in tears, calling it the “hardest year” she’s faced. And then comes rumor time. Porsha brings up whispers that Kelli may have been involved with a married man. Later, K. Michelle claims Drew’s friend Black, yes, the same one seen arriving with flowers and a kiss, has been messaging her privately. During a cast trip to Dallas, tempers flare in a screaming match between Drew and K. Michelle. The kind where other women physically step in to distance the duo.

“Keep my name out your mouth!” is then yelled. Drew's response? “Don't you ever address me that way.” And it doesn’t end there. At a dinner that was probably meant to be civil, Kelli raises her wine glass and makes a jaw-dropping remark about Porsha’s dating history, “Porsha has f*cking every Nigerian in Atlanta.” Porsha fires back, “You better get that goddamn drink out of my face.” She eventually storms off, still shouting from the staircase. Then, in the final seconds of the clip, K. Michelle coolly jokes, “We're going to be very well behaved.” Season 17 premieres on April 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock
