LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Season 31 of 'Dancing With the Stars' is gearing up for a two-night special called 'Stars' Stories Week'. Week 5 has twice the episodes, double the themes (under one new theme), and a double eviction.

Episode 4 of 'Dancing With the Stars' theme was a celebration of all things Disney+, which prompted each pair of dancers to execute a performance in homage to a movie or show presently streaming on the site. It was essentially a two-hour, high-energy advertisement promoting the Disney+ collection. Now fans can anticipate double the entertainment, as the long-running dance reality series will air twice this week.

What happened on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 31 Episode 4?

Disney+'s 'Dancing With the Stars' night was certainly a manifestation of dreams. From the 'Sanderson Sisters' to 'The Simpsons', celebrities came to the dance floor to pay homage to films and television series available on Disney+. Brownie points go to Charli D'Amelio for performing an entire jazz routine while wearing an immense Marge Simpson wig, Alan Bersten, who was covered from head to toe in 'Hocus Pocus 2' Billy Butcherson drag, for being unswervingly dedicated to his character, and Alfonso Ribeiro and Tyra Banks for admitting their errors.

Charlie's Angels icon Cheryl Ladd and her companion Louis van Amstel were eliminated last week. Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy, Wayne Brady and Witney Carson, Charli D'Amelio, and Mark Ballas all tied for first place in Season 31 Bond Night with 33/40. Even though Louis and Cheryl were not in the bottom two last week (that distinction went to Koko Iwasaki and Vinny Guadagnino, whose score increased from Elvis Night), it was not enough to keep them safe.

With all the themed outfits, Disney+ Night at 'DWTS' seemed like the start of Halloween. But the climax of the evening was when Jenifer Lewis herself performed 'Dig a Little Deeper' from 'The Princess and the Frog' live for Gleb Savchenko and Shangela's performance (Lewis voiced Mama Odie in the animated film).

"I have such a great time and so much fun with Alfonso and his wife's name's Angela, so I get it, trust me," Shangela said to EW in a post-show press junket. "I've been called worse things in my life than just Angela. But I will say that it's so much fun to be able to have these fun exchanges with people here." Shangela rushed to the sky box with "sickle feet" and confronted Alfonso for butchering her name. "The real question: Did you learn my name?" She made a joke with Alfonso after he referred to her as "Angela" on last week's episode.

Tyra found herself in a sticky situation the previous week when she referred to D'Amelio's boyfriend Landon Barker (Travis Barker's son) as Logan. But the L names and a live audience got the best of her again tonight, as she introduced him as Logan rather than Landon despite her attempts to correct herself.

After testing positive for Covid and missing the previous two weeks of competition with her partner, Joseph Baena, Daniella Karagach Pashkova returned to the ballroom. This week's endeavor to improve resulted in a score of 28 out of 40 for their charleston to 'A Star Is Born' from Disney's 'Hercules.'

The judges' unanimous choice to save Trevor Donovan and partner Emma Slater resulted in the elimination of weatherman Sam Champion and his partner Cheryl Burke, who waved farewell to the ballroom. Sam left on a positive note, expressing his eagerness to watch the cast's future endeavors.

When will ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 31 Episode 5 be out?

On October 17, at 8 pm ET, those with Disney+ can watch the latest episode of 'Dancing With the Stars' commercial-free and at no additional cost. Disney+ also permits many users to simultaneously stream under a single account (up to four devices). You can approach a third party, such as American Express or Verizon, for a free trial of Disney+ or the Disney+ bundle.

What to expect from ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 31 Episode 5?

The next week will include a two-night dance extravaganza. Bring a box of Kleenex, as the stars will be discussing their most memorable year on the first night. And on night two, the dance marathon and prom-themed night will return. On Monday, the top 12 will perform, and one pair will be eliminated. On Tuesday, the remaining 11 will perform, and a second couple will be culled. So there will not be a double elimination in a single episode, but two pairs will be eliminated before Tuesday's end. This also prohibits one pair from performing their Prom Night act. This week also marks the premiere of contemporary, which will feature three contestants singing their own songs. And as expected, 'CODA' star Daniel Durant will perform 'Both Sides Now' by Joni Mitchell for Most Memorable Year.

Season 31 of 'Dancing With the Stars' airs live on Disney+ on Mondays at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
