LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die,' a feature length finale of Netflix's highly regarded and successful series 'The Last Kingdom,' continues to follow Uhtred of Bebbanburg as he strives to unite England following the death of King Edward.
The historical period drama film is directed by Edward Bazalgette, based on the novel 'The Saxon Stories' by Bernard Cornwell. The screenplay was written by Martha Hillier. Nigel Marchant, Gareth Neame, and Mat Chaplin produced the film, while Alexander Dreymon and Martha Hillier served as executive producers. Carnival Films produced the film with NBCUniversal picking up the distribution, worldwide.

The story of 'The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die' continues to follow the feats of Uhtred of Bebbanburg. Uhtred and his comrades, who are dispersed across the kingdom, will embark on another adventure to form a united England in the movie.
The fifth and final season of 'The Last Kingdom' premiered in 2022, and all five seasons are now available on Netflix. 'The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die' will be released on Netflix on April 14.
