LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The release date for The Last Kingdom, the blockbuster successful sequel film, has been announced on Netflix. 'Seven Kings Must Die' will continue the story of 'The Last Kingdom', following the tales of Uhtred of Bebbanburg.

Returning characters will fight alongside Uhtred, played by Alexander Dreymon, in Seven Kings Must Die. Uhtred, his allies, and his enemies can be seen getting ready for combat in the new pictures released by the streaming giant. The movie will be directed by Ed Bazalgette and written by Martha Hillier. Producers are Nigel Marchant, Gareth Neame, and Mat Chaplin.

Dreymon once again plays Uhtred of Bebbanburg. Per the official description, Uhtred “must ride once more across a fractured kingdom with several of the series’ much-loved returning characters, as they battle alongside, and against, new allies and enemies. Following the death of King Edward, a battle for the crown ensues, as rival heirs and invaders compete for power. And when an alliance comes seeking Uhtred’s help in their plans, Uhtred faces a choice between those he cares for most, and the dream of forming a united England.”
