It’s been 20 years since fans have seen the group of teens from ‘Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County’ all together on their screens. ‘The Reunion: Laguna Beach’, which premiered on April 10, brought the original cast together for a two-hour special that streams for free on The Roku Channel. The special reunited familiar faces like Lauren Conrad, Christina Schuller, Kristin Cavallari, and Stephen Colletti. It also featured Lo Bosworth, Alex Hooser, Trey Phillips, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Talan Torriero. For longtime fans, it felt like stepping back into a familiar world, but the tone was more reflective this time around.

Back when ‘Laguna Beach’ first aired, it followed friendships, romances, and rivalries, but blurred the line between reality and scripted storytelling. Viewers got caught up in the drama involving an intense love triangle, social tensions, and rivalries. Two decades later, the cast members revisited the past with a clearer lens. There were moments of laughter, sure, but the reunion did not stay light for long. One of the most talked-about moments in the special came when Christina Schuller, now Christina Sinclair, spoke about a period in her life that only a few people knew about back then.

Sitting with her former castmates, she shared details about the struggles she faced during her senior year of college. “I had come back from a trip, and I literally lost my mind,” she revealed. “I thought that I was in ‘The Truman Show’. I thought that people were possessed and trying to kill me. It was very severe. I wouldn't take a shower. I thought the water was poisoned. I was in and out of the hospital. It was a very tumultuous six months to a year.” She went on to explain why she chose to share her story now, after all this time, saying, “The more that we bring those things up in the light, the more that we can heal from it and move forward.”

Her honesty was met with support from the group. Colletti, who revealed that he knew about her situation at the time, listened closely and offered reassurance. Others nodded along, while some were visibly emotional. This was a reminder that, despite the drama that once defined their relationships, there is still a sense of connection among them. After her time on the original run of the show, Christina stepped away from the industry and built her fitness career.
