What happened in 'Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire?'
In 'Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire,' the story unfolds on a planet called Motherworld, a planet once under the rule of the Imperium monarchy. As the planet's resources dwindled, the Imperium looked to expand its dominion into space.
After the assassination of the King, Queen, and Princess, General Balisarius (Fra Fee) assumes control. Subsequently, he issues a directive to Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein), tasking him with the crucial mission of suppressing the rebellion.
As Noble begins terrorizing the peaceful village of Kora, Kora, Balisarius' adopted daughter, bravely chooses to stand up and fight back.
With Gunnar (Michiel Huisman) and Kai (Charlie Hunnam) by her side, Kora sets out on a quest to recruit rebels to fight against the tyrannical forces of the Imperium.
How did Kai die in 'Rebel Moon - Part One?'
At the end of 'Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire,' Kai's betrayal triggers a devastating ambush orchestrated by Noble and the Imperium. Despite the loss of several rebel fighters, Gunnar's newfound courage enables many of them to escape.
Despite Kai's tragic past, which saw his planet destroyed by Motherworld, he ultimately chooses to betray Kora.
Kai, aware of Gunnar's feelings for Kora, attempts to coerce Gunnar into extracting all the intel from Kora's brain using a sharp drill, a process that would have resulted in Kora's death.
Kai offers Gunnar an ultimatum: kill Kora and he will spare Gunnar's life. However, in a surprising turn of events, Gunnar rebels against Kai, turning the drill on him and ultimately killing him.
Did Kora win the battle?
In the climactic battle against the Imperium in Part One, the rebels face significant losses, including at least one casualty. However, the momentum shifts when Kora engages in a fierce confrontation with the enemy.
As the battle reaches its peak, Kora's determination and skill face their ultimate trial as she confronts Noble. Following a fierce clash, Kora emerges triumphant, defeating Noble in a decisive victory.
Subsequently, she and the remaining members of the group made their way back to Veldt.
What happened to Admiral Noble?
After the battle, everyone presumed Noble to be dead. However, there was a twist: Noble had survived, albeit with severe injuries.
Noble was brought back to life aboard the Imperium Dreadnought, The King's Gaze, through the use of a revival machine. He was then tasked with ending the rebellion and ordered to locate Kora.
As Balisarius learned of Kora's survival, tensions rose, setting the stage for a climactic showdown in 'Rebel Moon: Part Two - The Scargiver.'
What to expect in 'Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver?'
Directed by Zack Snyder, 'Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver' portrays Kora and her rebel companions as they meticulously prepare for the confrontation with the forces of Motherworld on Veldt.
In part 2, Noble makes a dramatic return, bringing with him a renewed threat to Kora and the rebels.
The official synopsis of the film reads, "Kora and surviving warriors prepare to defend Veldt, their new home, alongside its people against the Realm. The warriors face their pasts, revealing their motivations before the Realm's forces arrive to crush the growing rebellion."
