Was Netflix's 'Single's Inferno' scripted? Hyunseung and Soyeon make revelations
While all contestants that appeared on the Netflix dating show ‘Single’s Inferno’ have had extremely different journeys since the end of the show in terms of their rising or falling fame, one thing all fans love to see is the friendship between the contestants outside of the show. Interestingly, while all contestants on the show were originally introduced as strangers, Kim Hyeonjoong and Cha Hyunseung were more than just two people who “worked out together one time” as Hyeonjoong revealed on the show.
As new revelations are out after contestant Kang Soyeon released a QnA video featuring Cha Hyunseung on her YouTube channel, fans have more reason to believe that the show was attempting to portray the contestants as strangers to dramatize the 'identity revelation' of each contestant — a plot that was quite loved on the show. While ‘Single’s Inferno’ ended early in January, contestants from the show are still reaping the benefits of being on a Netflix dating show.

Soyeon and Hyunseung talk about their relationship
After making fans of the couple swoon with their collab on An Yeawon’s YouTube channel, Cha Hyunseung, already well-known as K-pop singer Sunmi’s backup dancer, has now appeared on another collab YouTube video. This time around, Cha Hyunseung and Kang Soyeon got together for a video released on Soyoeon’s YouTube channel where the two talked about the show and revealed their connection before joining ‘Single’s Inferno’.
Cha Hyunseung seemed to have made the impression of being a social butterfly. Being a backup dancer with Sunmi and other K-pop acts like BTOB, TVXQ and more, Hyunseung seems to have an upper hand in the acquaintance department. Considering that Kang Soyeon was a part of the dance group ‘WE’, fans wondered if she ever interacted with Hyunseung.
Turns out they did and Soyeon and Hyunseung told fans about the same in the video posted on Soyeon’s YouTube channel on February 2. One of the fan questions quizzed the duo about their past relationship on the show as Soyeon appeared very close to Hyunseung on ‘Single’s Inferno’.
Soyeon revealed that back when she was an idol, Hyunseung was almost going to be a backup dancer for her group. They also revealed that Soyeon and Hyunseung appeared familiar to each other on the set of ‘Single’s Inferno’ but were having a hard time placing one another. While the video also saw the duo answering more fan questions, the chemistry between the two suggested that they had known each other for a while.
Song Jia addressed ‘scripted’ rumors
While Song Jia is now MIA after her controversy involving counterfeit outfits, the influencer initially gained a lot of popularity for her appearance on the show. Soon after the show ended, Song Jia took to her YouTube channel to convince fans that the show was not scripted. However, fans are still skeptical after seeing the palpable chemistry between Yeawon and Hyunseung.
Hyunseung who ended up picking Jia in the finale episode shocked fans with his choice as he showed immense interest in Yeawon in the penultimate episode of the show. This led many fans to wonder if Hyunseung was forced to pick Jia for the plot or if it was his personal choice.
