TWICE 'Im Nayeon' tracklist has Jade Thirlwall and Felix, Stray Kids fans say 'successful fanboy'

TWICE's Nayeon is the first member to make a solo debut and has roped in the likes of Destiny Rogers and Wonstein for her first mini-album

Nayeon is set to become the first TWICE member to make her solo debut and she is going all out for it. We first had leader Jihyo share that it would be a while before the members went solo since they wanted to focus better on their group activities. Well, looks like it is finally time as Jihyo was the first to get a solo OST for the K-drama ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One’. And now Nayeon is the next member with a solo project as she is set to drop her first mini-album ‘Im Nayeon’.

There is much hype around ‘Im Nayeon’ with the TWICE star dropping a cute concept photo, pre-releasing a snippet of the lead single and roping in some unexpected artists to collaborate with her on her solo debut. Nayeon finally released the tracklist for the mini-album and fans were not sure what to focus on as they saw familiar names from labelmate Stray Kids’ Felix and Wonstein to Destiny Rogers and Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix fame.

‘Im Nayeon’ tracklist

Nayeon’s mini-album ‘Im Nayeon’ has revealed its seven-song tracklist:

1. ‘POP!’ - Title track
2. ‘No Problem’ featuring Felix of Stray Kids
3. ‘Love Countdown’ featuring Wonstein
4. ‘CANDYFLOSS’
5. ‘All Or Nothing’
6. ‘Happy Birthday To You’
7. ‘Only The Sunset Is Pretty’

Nayeon has written the lyrics for ‘All Or Nothing’ and ‘Love Countdown’ along with Wonstein who has also worked on Track 3. JYPE fans were pleasantly surprised to see labelmate Felix of Stray Kids being roped in for ‘No Problem’ while Jade Thirlwall has participated in the making of ‘CANDYFLOSS’. Nayeon also gave a spoiler that while Felix is known for his rap and deep voice, they will be harmonizing and singing during the bridge of ‘No Problem'. Meanwhile, this is the second time that Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall has worked with TWICE as she had previously collaborated on ‘First Time’ in 2021.

We also have Destiny Rogers co-composing ‘All Or Nothing’. Many wondered if the title track ‘POP!’ will have a similar vibe to SM Entertainment's lead singles as it is made by the label's popular producer Kenzie. She has worked for the likes of EXO, NCT 127, SHINee, aespa, Red Velvet and Girls’ Generation. She had also co-written ‘Believer’ for TWICE back in 2020. ‘POP!’ has a retro jazzy vibe with synths and a groovy melody that complements Nayeon’s refreshing vocals and high energy.

‘POP is a bop’

Multi-fans are excited for the album as one tweeted, “My queens🛐 What a time it is right now to be a OnceMixerStay.” Another fan posted, “Nayeon's album having jade thirlwall and destiny rogers as composers for her tracks and also nayeon writing the lyrics for two songs my god this album is gonna be legendary i fear.” One commented, “Oomf! The magic of Nayeon, Lee Seuran, Kenzie, and LDN Noise. Pop is a Bop!” 

With Nayeon hating TWICE’s ‘I’m Gonna Be A Star’, fans joked, “My dream tracklist was 1. Im gonna be a star 10 min version 2. Im gonna be a star slow and reverb 3. Im gonna be a star remix.” Another fan wrote, “From handshake to collab, felix is ​​a successful fanboy.” One added, “Wonstein knows how to do a feature and even his original stuff is so good,, and with nayeon & him writing the lyrics to love countdown… b side of the year!”
