Stray Kids truly are in their element in 2022. We first had their exciting mini-album ‘Oddinary’ which debuted right at #1 on Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for weeks. Following the success of their latest comeback, their label JYPE shared that the boys would also be going on their second world tour ‘Maniac’. They will begin with a three-day sold-out concert in Seoul on April 29 before starting the American leg of their tour.

Stray Kids' American leg is set to begin in June at Prudential Center in Newark. They will continue to host huge stadium gigs at the likes of United Center in Chicago and State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The sale of tickets for the American stops began on April 22 and was almost immediately sold out. Well, due to high demand, Stray Kids have gone on to add an extra concert for Newark and Los Angeles each. The sale of these added concert tickets is to begin on April 25 at 3 pm local time on Ticketmaster but scalpers have ruined the experience.

Stray Kids’ world tour sold out by scalpers

While it looks like Stray Kids’ second world tour ‘Maniac’ has been sold out, fans are confused since many of them didn’t even get tickets. Many noticed that the sold-out tickets from the official website Ticketmaster were being resold by scalpers at a much higher price. With JYPE announcing the new concert dates, Stays (Stray Kids’ fandom) have been requesting them to get the tickets back from scalpers. On top of that Ticketmaster has been reserving and selling ‘Official Platinum’ tickets for thousands of dollars exclusive of booking fees which have fans angry.

‘I saw hell’

One Stay tweeted, “Wtf with this capitalism bullsh*t.” Another wished fans good luck, “For those buying stray kids tickets today, here's Lee Know poppin on your tl for good luck.” One wrote, “Dear SKZ, @jypnation @RepublicRecords we are requesting for you to try to get the tickets back from scalpers on Ticketmaster, so STAYs can buy them and make the shows more memorable. There is a significant amount of seats being resold at unreasonable prices. Please resolve this.” Another Stay joked, “The ticketmaster experience: I saw hell.”

One didn’t understand the concept of the platinum tickets, “The fact ticketmaster is selling $120 tickets for $3250 based on “demand” to make it “fair for the most passionate fans” is so beyond f**ked up. trying to tell people who would die for these boys that they “aren’t passionate enough” because they don’t have $3000 to burn is F**KED.” Another said, “If ticketmaster has 5 million haters, im one of them. if ticketmaster has 5 hundred haters, im one of them. if ticketmaster has 5 haters, im one of them. if ticketmaster has 1 hater, then thats me. if ticketmaster has 0 haters, i no longer exist.”

One Stay felt disappointed, “Look how many resale tickets were bought by scalpers in blocks ugh. SKZ will literally have empty rows if those prices dont come down :(.” Another explained why they were angry, “What skz are gonna see on tour bc scalpers got all the floor and lower arena tickets.” One Stay added, “Every “official platinum” ticket you see is ticketmaster themselves selling the tickets for a higher price due to demand 😭 do NOT buy ANY platinum tickets and the price will lower when they see that no one is buying them.” Another commented, “Jyp and ticketmaster: SOLD OUT TOUR!! the sold out tour in question:.”
