‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’: Release date, plot, cast, and all you need to know about Marvel’s third film on the comic-book superhero
After a confusing tease from Spider-Man franchise cast members Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya, Marvel has officially confirmed that Peter Parker’s next big-screen adventure movie will be called ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. The forthcoming film is directed by Jon Watts and will start following the events of ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, where we saw J Jonah Jameson (JK Simmons) revealing to the world that Peter is, in fact, Spider-Man and has murdered Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).
Several reports were alleging that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would be returning for the upcoming superhero movie. Holland, however, has denied such rumors. Holland also talked about the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ script and how it was being figured out as the production moved along.

Release date
Marvel Studios and Sony Films' ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is scheduled to release on December 17, 2021, in theaters. However, the release date might be affected if the coronavirus pandemic surges in the United States.
Plot
As of now, there are no official plot details revealed to the media. However, we can assume it based on the movie’s title and what happened in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. The title, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, suggests that Peter will have a hard time going back to Brooklyn, where everyone knows his real identity. Following the death of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, there are very few people whom Peter can trust. The movie will also feature Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), who might help him going back home or Peter inadvertently gets lost in the Multiverse with him.
The forthcoming Spider-Man movie might also get a reference from ‘WandaVision’. Since we know Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) plays a significant role in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, fans wouldn’t be surprised if the conclusion of the Disney+ show has some kind of impact on the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ narrative.
