The much anticipated Spider-Man 3 film is currently in production and in typical Marvel style, we don't yet have a name. Marvel fans have been scouring the entire internet for any possible clues and now it seems like their efforts have paid off. A new leak from Episode 9 of 'WandaVision' reportedly shows the name of the title.

Earlier, actors Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya released the first official stills from the movie along with three very different titles — Phone Home, Home Wrecker and Home Slice. But looks like it's none of these. We do know the title will contain the word home since it has been used in the first two movies 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' and 'Spider-Man: Far from Home'. So what about Spider-Man 3? If the leak is accurate, the film will be titled something very different to what has been speculated.

A leak from WandaVision with the title of the third spiderman film (Marvel Leaks 616 via YouTube)

Marvel's first TV show 'WandaVision' is currently streaming on Disney+. The 9-part series drops new episodes every week, leaving fans on the edge of their seats. We do know that the series will tie in directly to 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', with Wanda set to feature prominently in the film. However, less is known about the third Spider-Man film, which Marvel has kept a tight secret. Beyond the many cast members added to the film, we know nothing except the name 'Spider-Man: Homeworlds'.

Is 'Spider-Man: Homeworlds' the real title?

How accurate is this leak? Well for one, we do know that the third Spider-Man film will deal with the multiverse in some way, allowing Marvel to bring back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. We also know that Doctor Strange will make a cameo in the film. Given that and the fact that the word 'home' would feature in the title, the Homeworlds title makes sense. It could see Holland's Peter Parker explore multiple worlds and timelines, with help from the Sorcerer Supreme.

The addition of Wanda though comes as an extremely interesting surprise. If the leak is accurate, that means 'WandaVision' will tie in very closely with Spider-Man, which could mean that the show and the two films (including Doctor Strange 2) are actually one very large story. The addition of Wanda would also be a huge addition to the already large list of characters expected to appear in the film. 'WandaVision' Episode 9 is scheduled to air on March 5 and if this stinger drops at the end of the episode, Marvel will likely launch an official poster for Spider-Man 3 the same day.

Fans Left Excited

The leak was first posted by Marvel Leaks 616 on YouTube, before making its way to Twitter. Commenting on the video, one user said, "Man, I just read the episode 9 leaks and this was one of the things, gives me hope that those leaks were true, these last two episodes are about to be special." Another one simply said "no way!!!" One user said, "Can't wait anymore till December."

The 3rd Spiderman film is scheduled to release on December 17, 2021, followed by 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' on March 24, 2022. Of course, as with all Marvel leaks, this one could be a fake. There's no real reason to believe that Marvel will drop the name or any more information about the film so early on, but given the name drops by Holland, Zendeya and Batalon, there's good reason to be excited. Marvel could be preparing us for the release of the name, along with an official poster. We will only know when Episode 9 of 'WandaVision' drops on March 5.
