The introduction of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was one of the most amazing sequences in the history of superhero movies. It came as a big relief to the fans who were not happy with Andrew Garfield’s version of the movies. But Tom Holland did justice to the role and brought back that innocence to the friendly neighborhood comic-book character. Holland’s character was introduced in the MCU with 'Captain America: Civil War’. Although, he was in for a limited period of time, viewers got an idea of how amazing the young man would be as Spidey.

Marvel announced that Spiderman will be getting its own franchise and came out with ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in 2017. The movie was a huge success and prompted the makers to do a sequel titled ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ in 2019. The character also played a major role in movies such as ‘Avengers: Infinity War' and ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

The fans can’t wait for the third movie to arrive and are desperately asking the makers to provide some official updates about the flick. It looks like their prayers have been answered as Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya shared the first official images from the film on social media. The co-stars also had fun teasing fans with what the title could be, as both the actors shared two different titles with their respective images.

'Spider-Man: Phone Home', 'Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker' or 'Spider-Man: Home Slice'?

Holland and Batalon teased fans with the name of the upcoming sequel to ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. Holland started the game on Instagram by saying: “So excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. Can't wait for you to see what we have been up to. Love from Atlanta.” The star uploaded a picture from the upcoming movie which sees Peter Parker (Holland), MJ (Zendaya) and Ned Leeds (Batalon) standing next to each other.

The post also claimed that the official title of the upcoming superhero flick is ‘Spider-Man: Phone Home’.

As the entire social media started to celebrate the new arrival, Batalon shared his own post and uploaded another image from the movie. However, his post claimed that the official title of the movie is ‘Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker’. He wrote: “We're so excited to share the TITLE of our new movie!! Swipe right for the big reveal!!! Also, enjoy this exclusive still from the movie, just an extra gift from us.”

Zendaya also chimed in with another official image from the movie and surprised everyone with another title: ‘Spider-Man: Home Slice’.

The entire scenario confused the fans and they are still wondering what the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ film will be called after cast members shared different titles on social media platforms.

Are the stars trolling fans?

Social media is filled with excitement and confusion at this time. Some believe that the names shared by the stars are the competing titles while others believe that they are simply trolling the fans with those names. One of the fans shared his own version of the title and simply named the movie ‘Spider-Man: Get out of My Home’. Meanwhile, another user found it funny how the entire cast has ganged up to troll the fans with such audacious titles. She wrote: “The Spider-Man case made me laugh a little with their title posts.”

However, one of the ardent fans of the MCU noted that the different titles might be related to the multiverse. “Maybe, it’s a message and the different titles subject to the multiverse since each one of them is different.” On the other hand, another user said that the titles might be to three different Spideys. He wrote: “I think the titles are referring to the 3 different versions of superhero (Maguire, Garfield, and Holland).”

There have been several reports that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be joining the upcoming movie. Maguire played the character in the original ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy that started in 2002. Meanwhile, Garfield was supposed to star in a trilogy but the third movie was canceled after the second movie in the reboot series did not do well at the box office.

Let’s see if fans would get to see the multiverse or not. What do you think about the titles announced by the stars?
