'The Voice' Lives: Jim, Sasha saved from Team Ariana, fans say 'America lacks taste'

Pop icon Ariana Grande joined the panel of coaches on 'The Voice' Season 9 amidst a lot of fan-fare. Her fans aka Arianators were beyond excited to see their favorite singer on the hit singing competition show and began rooting for her to win her debut season. Arianators and the fans of 'The Voice' tuned in every week to watch the 'Thank You, Next' singer's banter with her fellow coaches, and mentoring her team members. Up until now the coaches had the power to decide which performer stayed in the competition and whose time was up, but now the audience got the power as they get to vote for their favorite performers. Fans were eagerly looking forward to using this power to boost Ariana's chances of winning the competition.

From Team Ariana Bella DeNapoli, Raquel Trinidad, Holly Forbes, Ryleigh Plank, and Jim & Sasha performed in the lives round. The audience had to vote for one of their favorite performer from the team, the performer with the lowest number of votes would be leaving the competition. After watching everybody's performances, several fans felt that Raquel and Holly performed the best. It was finally time for the audience votes to be revealed, and the show's host Carson Daly announced that father-son duo Jim & Sasha's performance to 'Hey Jude' got the maximum votes, alongside Holly. This put the other three performers at the risk of elimination. But Ariana decided to save Ryleigh and gave Bella a chance to compete for the instant save to vote, which meant Raquel's time on the show came to an end.

Fans were shocked and livid on hearing the results of the audience votes. Several fans took to Twitter expressing their displeasure over Jim & Sasha receiving more votes compared to other performers from Team Ariana. A fan tweeted, "Jim and Sasha still being here doesn’t make sense. #TheVoice." Another fan wrote, "IN WHAT WORLD DOES JIM AND SASHA BEAT BELLA OR RAQUEL?!?!?! this has me shook yo!!!! #TheVoice #TheVoiceLive #VoiceTop20 #VoiceTop13." "WHO VOTED FOR JIM AND SASHA? I HATE YALL CUPCAKES #VoiceTop20 #TheVoice," commented an angry fan.

Another fan expressed, "America is actual trash for voting for Jim and Sasha but we been knew #TheVoice." "Like jim and sasha over raquel? thanks for confirming that america lacks taste #TheVoice," echoed a fan. Another fan added, "#TheVoice what is wrong with america Jim and Sasha performance last night wasn't that good and ryleigh plank should of been the saved by america choice."
