UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: The 2008 hit song "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat already epitomized the essence of a love song. However, in an upcoming episode of 'The Voice' Season 25, two members of Dan + Shay's team gave the song an even more romantic twist by turning it multilingual.

Even so, fellow coach Chance the Rapper resorted to cunning tactics to thwart John Legend from snatching one of the two singers.

Night 3 of the Battles will air on 'The Voice' on Monday, March 25, but according to an early release, a battle between Team Dan + Shay's three-chair turn Kyle Schuesler and four-chair turn Madison Curbelo on a Latin-flavored version of Jason's "Lucky" has some coaches devising elaborate strategies to defeat one another.

Despite it being Kyle's first time singing in Spanish, his bilingual rendition of the song captivates all the coaches. Chance even begs Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney to use their Playoff Passes to retain both artists so that John cannot steal one, since John had opted to turn for both Kyle and Madison during the Blind Auditions.

"I turned for both of you and you rejected me. It’s okay. You two gave us a beautiful, beautiful performance. I was truly enjoying myself the entire time. Madison, it was brilliant. And Kyle, I don’t know if you’ve sung in Spanish before…" Kyle answered, "I haven’t."

"When I’m able to just enjoy and not overthink it, when it’s in my heart and not my head, that’s when I know it’s great, and that’s what I felt." After seeing the performance, Chance was so impressed that he gave Dan + Shay, the duo's coaches, some suggestions.

He referred to a once-per-coach pass that allows both competitors to stay in the competition, with one advancing to the Knockout rounds and the other proceeding directly to the Playoffs. "Both of you guys could win the entire competition, and neither of you guys should leave, and I think John is going to try and steal Kyle, so if I were Dan + Shay, I would use my Playoff Pass right now," he said.

"Stay out of this! Enough from you!" John yelled at Chance, as his plan was clearly defeated.

Watch Monday, March 25 at 8 pm ET on NBC to see what Dan + Shay chose to do on this week's episode of 'The Voice'.

Who did Dan + Shay pick during 'The Voice' Season 25 Battle?

That meant Dan + Shay had to decide something at that point. "I am so proud of you both." Dan Smyers informed the pair that "This was definitely the most cohesive performance so far."

"I feel like your individual performances were incredible, but together, it was just so locked in. I felt the energy, I felt the magic, I felt the chemistry between the two of you guys when you were singing. When we left rehearsals the other day, Shay and I were like, ‘They both deserve to win this show.’ Just like Chance said, you guys are incredible. This is a tough decision."

"We didn’t sign up for heartbreak," said Shay Mooney. "Kyle, I feel like you’ve really come out of your shell, even from just the beginning of this. Madison, you are an absolute ray of sunshine. I can’t believe that we’re lucky enough to have you on Team Dan + Shay."

Who is Madison Curbelo on 'The Voice' Season 25?

Madison underwent a transformative experience when she auditioned for Season 20. At the time, she was a freshman at Berklee College of Music.

Due to the early phases of the pandemic, Madison's parents were unable to attend. Disappointed by the lack of a chair turn, she left the stage alone, feeling a sense of disappointment. She followed Blake Shelton's advice to get more experience seriously and kept performing at different events.

With her parents' backing and years of gigging experience under her belt, Madison is feeling more assured today. After graduating from college, she is still committed to her music, developing her own sound and releasing it online.

To sustain herself financially, Madison has taken on various roles, including directing plays, teaching musical theater, and offering private piano lessons.
