LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Mraz considered walking away from 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 32 semi-finals ahead of his emotional Viennese waltz. Jason revealed that the ABC show has been tough on him and at one point he wanted to quit.

However, Jason later realized the amount of effort his 'DWTS' pro partner Daniella Karagach had put into the show and wanted to see himself through to the end. He dedicated his performance to Daniella in the semi-final as he realized that she has put her all into some of their routines.

Jason and Daniella performed a Viennese waltz to 'I Won’t Give Up', his own song. Jason broke down in tears after his emotional tribute to his partner Daniella for helping him stay in the competition and preventing him from "throwing in the towel."

'DWTS' Season 32 judges compliment Jason Mraz's performance

After Jason Mraz's performance, 'DWTS' Season 32 judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli provided feedback and scores to him. Bruno said, "Beautiful song, beautiful waltz," and told Jason he dances like a gentleman.

Derek complimented Jason's song and called it "beautiful." He added that, overall, the performance was "elegant." Carrie Ann noted that it had "incredible moments of excellence."

She felt like Jason was guarded and wanted him to open up in his dance. Jason got a score of nine from all three judges, with a total of 27.

However, the judges received backlash from viewers for not giving a perfect score to him despite his stirring performance. An X user wrote, "Jason’s waltz was beautiful. It was much better than a 27!"

Another person added, "Jason deserved more than what these judges gave him." Another user tweeted, "Jason danced to his own song and couldn’t get a 10."

Another social media user said, "Jason should’ve gotten more points than Arianna. His dance was better."

Some viewers also called the judges unfair, as one wrote, "The judges expect so much from Jason that they end up being unfair. He deserved more," and another noted, "Listen. Production has clear goals that do not include Jason ending up with the mirror ball and I have slowly come to terms with that over the past few weeks, but I have been stanning for 15 years. Own every album, seen him almost 30 times. I just need him in the finale."

Jason Mraz reflects on his 'DWTS' success

Jason Mraz made it to the 'DWTS' Season 32 semi-finals and couldn't have been more thrilled about it. However, Jason noted, "I didn’t think I’d make it this far," a few ahead of his performance at the semi-finals.

He added, "I finally believe it. Weeks ago, I wouldn’t believe it, but now that it’s here, I believe it and I’ve got to show up and do the work to really make it worth everyone’s time," while talking to Parade.

Jason further shared, "America voted; the judges are giving me good scores to be in the semis so I want to deliver what they’re asking of me."

Meanwhile, Jason's pro partner Daniela Karagach revealed that her plan was to do the "same thing we always do, get in the studio, stay focused and work hard to make sure we deliver a good performance."
