LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ is one of the most popular talk shows in the US and continues to be a force to be reckoned with every week. Apart from being so popular, it is also controversial because of the things that are said during the conversations on the show. However, in the latest episode of ABC’s talk show, something bizarre took place that made fans wonder if the show is heading in the right direction or not. The latest episode saw the panelists interview the stars of Netflix’s new show ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ and everything seemed absolutely fine until two hosts suddenly went missing in the middle of the show.

'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story' tells "the story of how the young Queen's marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton."

Where did Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar go?

On Friday, May 5, Golda Rosheuvel and Arsema Thomas made an appearance on the show and talked about their latest project. However, when the show came back from a commercial break, two of the panelists – Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar – didn’t return to interview the stars as Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sunny Hostin spoke to the actors. Things seemed pretty normal during the conversation and no one acknowledged why the hosts had disappeared at that point.

However, this was not the only moment that made fans cringe during the latest episode. In the latest episode, the panelists were talking about the Hot Topics of the Day. One of the topics they discussed during the segment was related to Justice Clarence Thomas and how the Supreme Court justice is under scrutiny. According to The Washington Post, an activist with interest in the court’s decisions directed money to Thomas’ wife.

Joy Behar frustrated with Ana Navarro

Joy Behar was giving her view on the matter and said, “So Justice Clarence Thomas is in a lot of trouble. He’s in hot water. Why, you may ask? The latest reports — here are the facts, these are facts — you know, the writers are on strike so we’re just winging it!”

Meanwhile, Navarro jokingly blessed herself with the sign of the cross and noted, “So you are unfiltered, unplugged, and unscripted.”

The discussion continued with Behar explaining that the Supreme Court justice received a large amount of money from a Republican billionaire that allegedly covered his grandson’s college fees. Meanwhile, she also opened up about how Thomas’ wife also received “tens of thousands of dollars.”

To which, Navarro said, “I mind that they’re being paid — that all of their laughing and vacations and homes and tuition and his mom’s house are all being paid by a billionaire who is advocating for some causes that come up in front of the Supreme Court.”

She went on to say that the Supreme Court needs an “ethics code” and as soon as she said that, Behar interrupted her so that she can show a clip to her audience. Navarro quipped and asked if Behar “had things written down.” To which, Behar, while rolling her eyes, said, “No, I have facts. Was I speaking a foreign language before?”

This is not the first time Behar has shown her frustration with what Navarro said during the show. In March 2023, Ana Navarro snapped at Sunny Hostin for telling her that she should move out of Florida after a movie got banned in her home state. Navarro said that she won’t move out and no one should ever tell her to leave. Behar wanted to end the segment with her comments, but the conversation between Navarro and Hostin won’t let her do that. In the end, Behar got really frustrated with the discussion and said, “Ana! Oh my God!!” while throwing her hands up.
