Netflix’s newest fantasy series, ‘The Sandman’, was undoubtedly one of the most highly-anticipated shows of the year and a lot of people were keen to watch it. Based on the comics written by Neil Gaiman, the show explores the journey of Dream (Tom Sturridge) after he gets trapped by a wizard. The wizard gets really nervous about his safety and keeps Dream imprisoned in a glass bottle for decades. However, a time comes when Dream finally manages to get out of the prison and embarks on a journey to find his lost objects of power.

Viewers had to wait for a long time to watch a live-action series on Gaiman’s highly popular comic-book series and now that it has arrived, it has started to create records as well. The series came in as the most-streamed series from the week of August 1st through August 7th. The series made its debut on Friday, August 5, and was streamed for a total of 69.48 million hours worldwide.
