We have loved reading DC comics since our childhood. They have been a huge part of our lives growing up. Exciting news for fans is that Netflix has finally unveiled the trailer for its most talked about and highly awaited fantasy drama series ‘The Sandman’ at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2022 panel an hour back. ‘The Sandman’ has been adapted from legendary author Neil Gaiman’s DC comic book of the same name that was published in 1989. The series has been conceptualized for the screens by Neil Gaiman alongside David S Goyer and Allan Heinberg.

The official description of the series ‘The Sandman’ reads, “After years of imprisonment, Morpheus — the King of Dreams — embarks on a journey across worlds to find what was stolen from him and restore his power.”

The trailer describes the story of how Morpheus (Tom Sturridge) gets captured by an occultist John Dee (David Thewlis) for almost 106 years. Morpheus is a king of dreams and nightmares. He is responsible to shape dreams and also nightmares for humans. Morpheus battles it out with all the supernatural evils trying to kill him and escapes the dark world. He then starts a journey of setting things right in his kingdom ‘Dreaming’. In the trailer we see glimpses of war between Morpheus and other celestial realm people. We also see how it’s mentioned in bold letters within the trailer, ‘Dream Dangerously’. When Dream is captured forcefully, his absence causes the entire world’s balance to be endangered and fall in jeopardy. Ever since the trailer dropped, fans have given a thumbs up to the performance by the cast and shared how they can’t wait to watch the live-action adaptation of this DC comic on the screens. Many of them mentioned about how their wait has come to an end with this and they’ll be seated for this one surely.

This trailer was dropped by makers on official Netflix Geeked account.

As soon as the trailer was released, fans started giving rave reviews for the same with the majority of them feeling stoked and thrilled. They took to twitter to share their reactions.

“Hope this is good looks pretty cool. I know nothing about the source material. Feel like this will be a hit or a big bomb no in between,” shared a fan. “All sorts of yes!,” added another fan. “THIS LOOKS INSANE FOR A TV SERIES. THEY’RE DOING THIS CHARACTER JUSTICE FROM DC COMICS,” added a fan. “The idea of sandman as TV is like imagining the bible as a piece of fruit. I hope, if nothing else, they create something interesting here,” shared another fan. “Man, this gives me chills! The trailer is beautiful…I can hardly believe, after all these years, that it’s finally onscreen. And if @neilhimself says he’s happy with it, I know it’s gonna be frickin’ *amazing*,” shared a fan.
