'The Good Doctor' Season 3 Episode 17 Preview: How will Shaun deal with Lea's rejection?

The 16th installment of 'The Good Doctor', it felt like a moment of clarity for a lot of people. Dr Carly Lever, Shaun's ex-girlfriend, reaffirmed her doubts that Shaun was indeed in love with his friend, Lea.
Shaun admitted that although he loved Carly, he loved Lea more. Then he went on to tell Lea how he felt about her. And then, Lea acknowledged that she loved him too but was not the best fit for a relationship with him and walks away, leaving him heartbroken, once again.
This entire chapter cleared all the doubts and speculations we had about Shaun-Carly and Shaun-Lea. And that will drive a big change for Shaun, going forward. What we are yet to see, is how Shaun reacts to this sudden upheaval in his love life.
Being hopeful one minute and then being abandoned by the two most important women in his life is sure to take a toll on his emotions. The question, however, remains, how is he going to handle this situation?
Elsewhere, Dr Neil Melendez and Dr Claire Browne are back to being friends and continue to explore their newfound friendship, despite Dr Morgan Reznick reporting them to the Chief of Surgeons, and making a big issue out of it.
Episode 17 will also probably see the development in their chemistry and answer a few questions that we have had for a while, namely, will they be actually dating or still remain friends?
Also, as the trailer of Episode 17 'Fixation' shows, a patient with a mysterious illness will shock the doctors, especially Shaun.
A middle-aged woman with undiagnosed brain conditions will force Shaun to take huge risks and the upcoming episode will most likely revolve around Shaun's efforts on finding the right solution at the right time.
