Erica and Spencer Shemwell from 'The Blended Bunch' just celebrated "adoption day" in the finale episode of Season 1 that aired on Tuesday, April 20. The TLC series began airing last month and audiences have mixed reactions about the couple as it was clear from the episodes that these former widowers with seven and four children each tied the knot within 13 months of knowing each other. They blended their families without the consent of most of their children, leading to a lot of conflicts between the 11 kids.

Season 1 ended with Erica's children agreeing to take on the Shemwell name and officially be adopted by Spencer. The drama surrounding the adoption has now subsided but raising 11 children under one roof hasn't been a walk in the park for Erica and Spencer and things are bound to get more difficult as the kids grow up together. Let's take a look at what the show has in store for Season 2.

Release date

'The Blended Bunch' Season 1 aired for six weeks as part of TLC's Tuesday night programming since March 16. The network is yet to announce a sophomore season. We will update this story when they do.

Plot

Season 1 finale episode left us with a cliffhanger. Erica and Spencer heavily teased their plans on having another baby. They spoke to all their chidlren about it and while some were okay with it, most of them, especially the elder ones — Brayden, Landon, and Emma, didn't want them to go ahead with their plans.

Erica's brother Quinn also shared the same sentiment and warned his sister against having another baby. Quinn has been super involved in Erica's life and he jokingly mentioned that he will have to carry the pregnancy stress as well if Erica decided on having another kid, which would be her first with Spencer.

Judging by the finale episode, Season 2 could be focused around the dynamic between the kids who are no longer "step-siblings". It'd be interesting to see how Emma (Erica's daughter) and Harper's (Spencer's daughter) relationship develops after being at each other's throats for the entirety of Season 1. Will Quinn finally take a step back and stop making judgments about Erica and Spencer's family planning? We'll hopefully find out in Season 2.

Cast

Apart from Erica Shemwell and Spencer Shemwell along with their 11 children, Season 1 also introduced Rachel Butyter. She is the mother of Spencer's deceased wife Aimee Wohlfahrt Shemwell and is still very close to her grandchildren. Erica's parents Paige and Dave, her sister Alexis Isaac and brother Quinn Kendall were also a part of the Season. All of them are expected to return in Season 2.

Trailer

Season 2 of 'The Blended Bunch' is yet to be announced and there is no trailer for it yet. We will update this article with new developments as and when TLC announces it.
