'The Bachelorette': Johnny says he isn't ready to get engaged to Gabby, fans ask 'why are you on the show'

JUPITER, FLORIDA: Despite having a slow start with Johnny DePhillipo, 'The Bachelorette' star Gabby Windey surprised everybody when she picked him for her hometown date. Johnny played the role of a gracious host and took Gabby around Florida. After having a gala time on their date, Johnny finally took her home to meet his family.

Johnny's mother and father instantly took to Gabby and gave their blessings. They felt that the ICU nurse was the perfect woman for their son. Unfortunately, while Johnny's parents were confident about Gabby and him, Johnny, on the other hand, began questioning his future with her. Johnny revealed to his parents that he wasn't ready to get engaged at that point in his life. Though his father tried pointing out to him that Gabby and he could work it out together and make a great couple, he appeared reluctant to take their advice. Sadly, Gabby was completely oblivious to Johnny's hesitation to take their relationship to next level and began planning for her future with him.

After watching Johnny declare that he wasn't ready to get engaged to Gabby yet, 'The Bachelorette' fans began questioning his motives for joining the dating show which ends in an engagement. With rumors of Johnny getting engaged to Victoria Fuller on 'Bachelor in Paradise' doing rounds, fans were further amused with him. A fan shared, "Johnny- I’m not really for an engagement Also Johnny- gets engaged on paradise #TheBachelorette." "Johnny, you’re not ready for marriage? but you literally got engaged in paradise….. #TheBachelorette," pointed out a fan. "The fact that Johnny got engaged to someone else in paradise after like 2 months is insane #TheBachelorette," expressed a fan.
