'The Bachelorette' 2022: Jason says he's not ready to be engaged, fans say 'you need to tell Gabby'
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: The much-awaited hometowns segment of 'The Bachelorette' Season 19 is finally here and the pressure is certainly piling on. For Gabby, the three men going into their hometown with her are Jason, Johnny and Erich.
One of the biggest things that worked between Jason and Gabby was the fact that they felt their emotions deeply. And turns out, that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Although his parents are divorced, Gabby met with his father and his mother, along with his sister and it is safe to say that they fell in love with her instantly.

Jason's dad Michael was excited for his son, wishing only the best for the couple. As Gabby met with Jason's mom Karen and sister Kelsey, they both were also on board with the idea of Gabby and Jason tying the knot and supported their relationship entirely, as they believed they were a good fit. The only person who seemed to have some doubts was Jason. As he sat down with his mother, he explained that he was ready to get engaged just yet. Unfortunately, an engagement was expected to take place at the end of the season. Fans were worried upon hearing Jason's confirmation.
"Why did Jason even get this far if he isn’t ready to get engaged omg!!!!! #TheBachelorette #BachelorNation #bachelorette" tweeted a fan. "Did Jason really say he doesn't see himself getting engaged? Like sir you're on the Bachelorette.... #TheBachelorette" added another. "Real world: Jason not wanting to get engaged after 8 weeks and only a handful of one on one interactions - very reasonable. Bachelor world: Unacceptable. #TheBachelorette #bachelorette" said a fan. "Jason and Gaby would be a better fit if this were real life not tv. He seems overwhelmed with the theatrics of “The Bachelorette.” Understandably. #thebachelorette" wrote another. "i fully understand and support jason not wanting to get engaged after a few weeks but 1. why did you go on the bachelorette then and 2. you need to TELL gabby that you can’t just keep going without saying that #TheBachelorette" added another. "Jason’s dad telling Gabby and Jason “can’t let a good beignet go to waste” was foreshadowing. GABBY IS A GOOD BEIGNET DONT LET HER GO #bachelorette #TheBachelorette" tweeted another.
