‘Single's Inferno’ puts some incredibly alluring Korean singles on an almost deserted island, referred to as “hell,” hoping they’ll find love and form relationships. And the reward? Paradise. The island is called “hell” because these singles must fend for themselves in the intense summer heat. But if two potential lovers select each other anonymously, they get the chance to be taken in a helicopter to Paradise Hotel & Resorts. With Season 2 set to release on December 13, viewers are definitely curious to learn more about the cast. But in classic ‘Single's Inferno’ fashion, the names have not been revealed just yet. Song Ji-a
Song Ji-a, aka FreeZia, a 25-year-old beauty content creator, was highly sought after on the island. A glimpse of her social media pages shows why she was so popular. When choosing between Hyeon-joong, Si-hun, and the latecomer Hyun-seung, she followed her heart in the end, literally calling Hyeon-joong her “puppy” and sending the internet into a frenzy. Before joining ‘Single's Inferno’, Ji-a was a YouTuber and had gained 1M subscribers. However, after her scandal concerning counterfeit designer products, she removed most of her posts and released an apology video on her YouTube channel. After a few months of leaving social media, Ji-a returned with a handwritten note thanking her fans for their worry and support. Her comment section was soon filled with love, and her fans were thrilled to have her back. Since her time on the show, Song Ji A has moved to an extravagant new house and adopted a cute dog. In addition to her usual fashion and lifestyle videos, the influencer also posts “Counseling Center” videos where she gives her fans advice.
Kim Hyeon-joong
Throughout the season, Hyeon-joong, the model and personal trainer, remained loyal to one woman and declared himself a "golden retriever guy". This nickname made sense when, at the end of the season, he posted a picture of a dog to his Instagram story, referencing the name he Ji-a had given him and hinting that the two had managed to make their relationship work even after the show. But these days, he has not shared any photos with Ji-a, suggesting that perhaps the flame has burned out after all. In December 2022, we saw Hyeon-joong launch his own YouTube vlog, quickly gaining thousands of subscribers. He recently celebrated his 29th birthday and posted an image of himself holding a bouquet.
Shin Ji-yeon
Ji-Yeon, a 25-year-old neuroscience student in Canada, had initially developed a crush on Si-hun, but eventually left the island with Se-hoon. After the show, her Instagram account had allegedly been hacked, but she is regaining her following. Though she has not yet shared any posts indicating her and Se-hoon’s relationship, people speculate that the bouquet of flowers she recently posted was a romantic gesture from Se-hoon. She was also spotted hanging out with 'Single's Inferno' co-stars Seong Min-ji and Hyeon-joong.
Moon Se-hoon
The restaurant owner’s journey of emotions was the most riveting part of the show, especially as his affections were not returned until later. On February 15, there were new reports about Se-hoon and Ji-Yeon’s relationship. Se-hoon’s interview with Gomong revealed he found Ji-yeon “very pretty”. When asked about his opinion on his future children watching 'Single’s Inferno', he jokingly suggested that he’d let them watch and said, “It would go like ‘Dad! Mom is there.’ That could happen, right? Is this right? I’m saying everything today.” These comments could be interpreted as a subtle admission of their relationship growing to the point of marriage and children in the near future. Moon Se-hoon and Shin Ji-yeon also reunited on camera in March earlier this year, the first time since the show concluded. The reunion took place via a vlog uploaded to Ji-yeon’s channel on March 30, which included footage from their meeting, a Q&A session, and a brief “MBTI Balance Game” section.
Kаng So-yeon
The 34-year-old CEO is the head of Hit Fit Boxing and GoodRound, an athleisure company. She is also a talented athlete who excels in a variety of sports. So-yeon’s relationship with Jin-taek had progressed throughout the series, and Instagram posts of the two at a tennis court in August suggest they are still seeing each other.
Oh Jin-tаek
Jin-taek, 30, is a co-founder of the men’s fashion brand Ascottage, and can often be seen donning his own creations and playing sports with his alleged girlfriend So-yeon.
An Yea-won
An Yea-won brought a bright spark to the island and had a healthy relationship with Jun-sik and a great bond with So-yeon. The 27-year-old is a model and fitness instructor who previously participated in fitness competitions. On 17 January 2022, Yea-won took to social media to clarify her relationship status with Jun-sik. She stated that they are still good friends but nothing else. She even shared a Q&A video with Cha Hyun-seung from the show.
Kim Jun-sik
Jun-sik and Yea-won indeed seemed to be deprived of their moment in the spotlight, with limited screen time. The entrepreneur owns a health food company named "Kamee," and though he hasn’t delved into details regarding his and Yea-won’s relationship, he posted a collection of polaroids that included them both.
Choi Si-hun
Si-hun, 30, is the creative force behind the popular brand Hoten. According to Cosmopolitan, "His interest in Ji-yeon peaked when he arrived on the island, but he then fell hard for Ji-a and was rejected during the finale." Si-hun was featured in the series 'Cafe Kilimanjaro', and these days usually posts photos of his everyday life and brand endorsements.
Cha Hyun-seung
The 30-year-old was one of Song Ji-a’s potential partners while they were both on the island. Although that didn’t work out in the long run, a spark still seemed to exist between the two in their YouTube video with Yea-won. Cha Hyun-seung is currently singer Sunmi’s backup dancer, and there have been a lot of dating rumors about them due to their chemistry.
Seong Min-ji
This 'Single's Inferno' participant entered the show later on and was completely enamored with Moon Se-hoon, even though he was devoted to Ji-yeon. She is a freelance model, and an interesting tidbit: she has a twin! She mostly uploads posts of her brand collaborations, one of which is a makeup brand.
Kim Su-min
Kim Su-min and Seong Min-ji went to the island as new arrivals, and Su-min was somewhat infatuated with Moon Se-hoon. But after a couple of dates, she realized that Choi Si-hun was a more suitable companion for her, so much so that she asked him to join her at "Paradise" for the last night, but was rejected. Kim Su-min is a model, and after taking a glance at her Instagram profile, it’s easy to see why she has been chosen to represent skincare brands.
