From Hurricane Dorian to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no dearth of obstacles when it came to the Baeumlers' trying to successfully run their luxury resort in the Bahamas.

Season 1 of 'Renovation Island' featured Bryan and Sarah Baeumler leave their home and business behind and move their family to an undeveloped island in the Bahamas in order to renovate and restore a run-down beachfront resort. The couple dropped a whopping $10 million to purchase an old, rundown and abandoned resort on the island and decided to renovate it. If watching the couple stress over their finances and finishing the resort's renovation in time formed the plotline for season 1, then the upcoming season 2 features the couple tackling a bigger problem- the pandemic. Unfortunately for the couple, by the time they were done with the renovation and open the Caerula Mar resort to the public, the pandemic took over the world, and quarantining and travel ban became the norm leaving the couple in a lurch.
