The stress levels among the Baeumlers are off the charts. Bryan and Sarah Baeumler have taken a big risk by putting in all their money into the ambitious project of renovating an old, rundown resort in the Bahamas and turning it into a tourist hotspot. But things have been far from easy for the couple. With so much at stake, the couple has no choice but to ensure that they execute their renovation project to perfection so that they can open the doors to the guests and make some money. But all this stress is certainly not panning out well for the couple.

The two can often be seen butting heads while discussing their plans. Although Bryan handles the operations part including overseeing the renovation and supervising the workers, Sarah is responsible for designing the interiors and handling booking and the duo seems to have a tough time agreeing on anything. Sarah's primary focus is on ensuring that their guests have the best experience while they are vacationing at their resort. While Bryan just wants to get things started and slowly add on other things, in order to prevent them from going bankrupt.

The latest episode of 'Renovation Island' featured the couple once again getting into a little tiff over planters. The couple wanted to install planters between the rooms as a privacy screen. While Sarah was pushing for the custom-made wood planters, Bryan felt that the PVC planters would be a better choice for that weather. When Sarah tries explaining to Bryan about costs of buying another set of planters, he just cuts her off and talks down to her.

Later in his confessional, Bryan admits that the stress is getting to him and he is finding it hard to get a grip on it. Fans were far from happy with the way Bryan spoke to his wife and felt that he should have been nicer to her instead of being so snappy.

A fan tweeted, "This dude on Renovation Island on HGTV is a douche." Another fan commented, "#RenovationIsland YIKES I get the frustration and construction delays but the way you speak to your wife." Another said, "He treats his wife like a worker and I feel so bad for her!" One fan wondered, "Watching 'Renovation Island' on HGTV. Who else thinks the husband is kind of a jerk?"

Another fan pointed out, "Mmm Renovation Island is turning into a miss for me. The way the husband talks to his wife is beyond cringeworthy. Can barely focus on what they’re doing when he’s constantly being a jerk. Could be editing but... "

'Renovation Island' airs every Sunday at 8 pm only on HGTV.
