'Queens' Episode 4 Preview: Who is the father of Naomi's daughter?
The ABC musical drama 'Queens' is just a few episodes in but is already jam-packed with drama. 'Queens' follows the lives of once-famous women rappers who ruled the music scene as the Nasty Bitches as they currently attempt a comeback as Queens.
The show has already seen major storylines develop within four episodes itself. Jill (Naturi Naughton), Brianna (Eve), Naomi (Brandy) and Valeria (Nadine Velazquez) all have complications that occur in their lives that threaten their musical futures. Episode 3 saw the unexpected loss of Jeff (RonReaco Lee), Brianna's husband just as she was starting to forgive him. The preview for the fourth episode of the ABC series begins on a glum note as Brianna spaces out, deep in thought while washing clothes. She has the incredibly difficult job of telling her kids about the death of their father. We see her not alone in this journey as the Nasty Bitches turned Queens have her back all the way. A funeral service is shown as a rendition of 'Wrecking Ball' plays in the background.
Jill who has cheated on her girlfriend Tina will have to face the consequences as we see Brianna tell her that she needs to own up to what she did. She may or may not want to be with Tina but will have to tell her what she did. Jojo (Precious Way), Naomi's daughter who has always wanted to know who her father is seen telling Eric (Taylor Sele) that maybe if her dad was there, her mom would have been more present in her life as well.
The missing piece of her life may just fall into her lap as the previous episode saw Eric receive an old tape of Naomi's who raps about 'having life inside her'. This heavily implied that he may be Jojo's dad as the two were hooking up back then. The trailer ends with him showing up announced at Naomi's door with him asking, "Am I Jojo's dad?". Jojo who is also there may just get her answer.
Episode 4 is looking to be an emotional and personal watch as each of the characters grapples with situations they clearly aren't prepared for. But the biggest question that may be answered is about the real father of Jojo. There are two potential candidates who may be Jojo's dad - her ex-boyfriend Cam'ron (Cam'ron) or Eric. Now the mother has always evaded the question but knows who her baby daddy is. The question is will we finally find out?
