ATLANTA, GEORGIA: 'Next in Fashion' is all set to return on Netflix for its second season. The new season will bring 12 aspiring designers who will compete to become the next big thing in the fashion industry, and, of course, compete for the whopping cash prize of $200,000.

'Next in Fashion' Season 2 will feature A-list celebrity guest judges with the host Tan France and style icon Gigi Hadid. The rising designers will face a series of tough challenges which will test their artistic abilities. While some designers are still working to make their name in the fashion world, a few are already known by Hollywood celebrities. Among the known designers is Nigel Xavier, who has designed outfits for music legends.

Who is Nigel Xavier?

Nigel is a fashion designer who moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2010. He has spent most of his time in Summerhill. However, according to his profile on Farfetch, the rising designer revealed that Summerhill has opened so many doors for him that he would have never experienced if he didn't live there. He is a former high school football player who chose fashion over a career in sports. While gushing about the career change, he shared with Netflix Tudum, "adapting and observing all of the different cultures has made [him] versatile and open-minded." Apart from designing, Nigel also models, styles, and tailors looks for his own collections. He is mostly known for his denim designs and looks to rappers like A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, and Travis Scott for inspiration. Nigel always focuses on the next creation and his own favorite design is an oversized pair of patchwork denim pants that can fit five to six people in them. The fashion designer gushed about his iconic design saying that the piece is "not only signature to [his] manipulation but also has a message behind them, symbolizing togetherness."

Music icons love Nigel Xavier's nostalgic style

Nigel is known for his patchwork and textile manipulation and his creations have become favorites among some of the biggest names in the music industry. In a profile interview with Netflix Tudum, Nigel shared that "fabrics, materials, culture, and nostalgia" are his primary influences. Moreover, most of the designs heavily resonate with the ’90s and early 2000s fashion. Nigel Xavier's most recent celebrity client happened to be rapper 2 Chainz.
