Gigi Hadid on her imposter syndrome

Hadid recently had a profile interview for Elle magazine's March issue. During the interview, the supermodel revealed the very lesser-known sides of her life. While talking about how hard she has to work to get the Netflix role, the model shared, "Netflix was not easy on me. They really put me through an audition process." However, the model later revealed that she was OK with the way she was treated and added, "I respected that, and it made me feel good when I got the job." Hadid also shared that she felt like she had earned it in their own eyes and so that gave her the confidence to go for it.

Later, Hadid addressed her having impostor syndrome. She said, "You get a sense of impostor syndrome and you're like, 'Okay, are they just giving me this show because I have a lot of followers?'" Hadid added to the outlet, "The fact that they really questioned my intentions for being on the show helped me jump into it headfirst. If they think that I can do it, then that gives me more confidence than maybe I would've had otherwise." Hadid shared that people don't know the real her. "People say I'm funny. I don't know, but I think that the more time I'm given, then the more I'm able to be goofy," she said.

Gigi Hadid gets emotional

Hadid discussed several ups and downs of her life during the interview. At one point, she surprisingly even got emotional when asked what the world still doesn't know about her. Hadid tearfully added, 'I'm getting emotional thinking about it. What does the world not know about me? I don't know." Gigi, who has a baby daughter named Khai with her ex-beau Zayn Malik, added, "I'm getting emotional [thinking about it]. I think that I'm someone who you have to be in front of to experience."

She later shared, "It's not hard. This isn't a complaint. It's more that in my job, you see a lot of snapshots." While wiping her tears, Hadid explained that she "needed to say it. There are a lot of snapshots and really quick moments where, again, there are not a lot of contexts given." During the interview, Gigi revealed that she and her younger sister Bella have been in therapy as they both are dealing with different issues.
