The latest episode of 'New Amsterdam' Season 4 Episode 7 was a cause for worry especially with Tyler Labine's story arc hinting that he might be leaving the show. Labine plays Dr Iggy Frome and since the end of Season 3, he has moved away from treating patients after his own mental trauma. He has made no secret of the fact that he wasn't ready to see and treat patients as he would just cause more trouble and complicate things for the people he treats.

Things didn't look so bright for Frome in 'Harmony' as he was under pressure to start seeing patients. It would be a source of money and the new MD, Veronica Fuentes, interrupts his coffee break to tell him that he needs to restart seeing patients immediately. A reluctant Frome does try but isn't in the headspace. He eventually drafts a letter of resignation and consults his husband, who agrees that they will figure out a way, even it means moving to another city.

That brings us to the all-important question: Is Iggy Frome leaving New Amsterdam, or better read it as to whether Labine is calling it a day at on the show?

This could just be a jolt that the writers would have added to make the case stronger for Fuentes to go. In her plans to restructure how New Amsterdam works, she's seen putting people in uncomfortable positions and one of them was asking Frome to resume his services. While he may not necessarily leave the show, we speculate if Frome might just take a leave of absence just to clear things up. Maybe he would set up a new clinic and oversee a bunch of psychiatrists.

Labine has been an integral part of 'New Amsterdam' and it is unlikely that he will be leaving the show. Fans on Twitter were already under the impression that Frome would be the one to leave. "I call Iggy being the one to go next week. If you ain’t shittin’, then get off the pot. #NewAmsterdam," read one of the tweets. This was seconded by another who said, "IGGY GETTING FIRED NEXT WEEK LETS GOOOOOO #NewAmsterdam."
