GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA: Babs Thore appeared to be on the verge of death on the Season 10 premiere of 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life,' suffering from Covid, a stroke, and a UTI. Doctors informed the Thores that she might not live, since she had stopped eating and reacting. Whitney suggests that her father retire and stay at home to care for her mother now that the family has received some positive news about Babs.

TLC viewers quickly fell in love with the lovable father. Glenn has offered his daughter some special counsel over the seasons, and fans are delighted that he has returned for the current season. Glenn's affection for his wife, Babs, is obvious. The father-of-two has been the family rock for years and loves his wife like a queen. Glenn has clearly worked hard over the years to provide for his family and only wants the best for his wife, daughter, and son.

Hunter Thore catches up with father Glenn and Whitney in the latest episode of 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life.' Whitney claims that her mother was dying from a UTI and that it was the most difficult week of their life. Glenn stated that it was a difficult moment for him, and he didn't want to risk losing her. Her mother began responding to music 15 days after her stroke, she recalled, snapping and swinging her shoulders. Glenn asserted that she will return to them.

Whitney later visits her folks in Greensboro to see her father and brother. They are all Covid-free, and Babs recovered miraculously. All three of them may now pay her a visit to the hospital. Whitney claims the doctor is astounded at her mother's ability to smile and speak. The family persisted in sending her to a rehabilitation institution. Later in the episode, Babs gets cleared for rehab, where she will recuperate and receive physical therapy. The family recounts how the system was prepared to "write her off."

Glenn arrives as Whitney and Hunter discuss his plans to move to Atlanta and how their mother's stroke impeded his entire plan. Whitney persuades her father to retire. Her father, she claims, should be retired at the age of 76. Later in the episode, she presses him once again about retiring, but he refuses. He considers partial retirement, but wants to ensure that he can be a competent provider.

Many fans took to Twitter to share their opinion on the matter, with many thinking maybe Glenn is not ready to become a full-time caregiver at his age: "Whitney, maybe your dad still wants to have something, like working at least part time. Being a full time caregiver is not easy. #MyBigFatFabulousLife." Many fans were even stunned to learn that Glenn is still working at his age: "Surprised that Glenn is still working in his 70s! #MyBigFatFabLife #MyBigFatFabulousLife." Some fans think it would help if Glenn continued to work: "Let him work. Working probably helps your father keep going #MyBigFatFabLife." Glenn's decision to continue working for the sake of his family, made fans applaud his and Babs relationship: "You can see nobody loves Babs more than Glenn. Sure he still works to make sure he has the best insurance for her. It isn’t about selfishness or actual cash. #MyBigFatFabLife."

However, not everybody had the same feeling towards Glenn choosing to work at the age of 76. Talking about the system, a viewer wrote: "Glenn needs to retire so there are fewer people insisting everybody needs to work in person in the office instead of "that newfangled WFH thing." #MyBigFatFabLife." Another viewer tweeted: "Can Glenn please retire and let the 60-year-old Boomer at work finally get a promotion? And maybe that guy will retire eventually so a gen xer can move up? Then hopefully someday a millennial will be able to get a job. #MyBigFatFabLife." Some fans also feel the only reason Glenn is still working is because he doesn't get the help from his children that he'd like: "Uh your father is worried about still providing for his family including your barely working ass, Whitney. She does not understand money since she’s never had to do real work a day in her life. #MyBigFatFabLife." Thinking how Glenn is overworking himself, another viewer wrote: "Glenn is burning the candle at both ends. He's not going to be able to take care of Babz if he's not taking care of himself. #MyBigFatFabLife."
