Previously, Babs had a stroke five years ago. Whitney found it tough to watch her mother in a hospital bed. The 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' star wishes it had prepared her for what she is going through for the second time around. She notes that her stroke is distinctive, and they are unsure of her prognosis.

Whitney later discovers that her mother has Covid. She had done everything she could to keep the virus from infecting her parents. However, Babs became afflicted at an inopportune moment. Unfortunately, she was not the only one who became ill. Glenn and Hunter were likewise found to be Covid positive. Whitney, however, did not test positive.

As a result, the 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' actor was the only one who saw Babs in the ICU. She desired to spend every waking moment with her mother. She had to be cautious not to fall ill.
