DENVER, COLORADO: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' star Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson often request her fans to send money to pay her college expenses. Although multiple fans pay Honey Boo Boo's bills without even questioning, some critics accused her of 'lying' and 'scamming' people. However, the reality star recently went live on TikTok and defended herself requesting money.

Honey Boo Boo claimed in the video that she was not 'not lying or scamming' anyone and used all the received money for her college expenses. She also shared receipts of her last few payments to college. However, the screenshot of her last four payments didn't specify whom she actually paid. Honey Boo Boo's TikTok live video was recorded by her follower and reshared on Reddit.

Despite the reality star's clarifications, the critics were not ready to believe her and claimed that she was still lying and begging for money. A Reddit user commented, "She's lying in the fact that she told people she didnt have money to pay for college when she has 6 figures sitting in the bank."

Another person added, "Lying - it doesn’t mean she didn’t have the money. She couldn’t even remember what she paid? 2 times, 3 times, 4 times? It’s funny this is just come up after the episode aired about June taking her money." Another critic noted, "So she just made over $8000 in payments? Was that ALL from CA donations from TT? That's crazy!"

Another internet user said, "My fans want to support my college….i saw this too. I asked her why she’s got to beg for money on TT. They didn’t like my comment!" Another social media user penned, "What is she making payments to? I paused the video and I couldn't tell what the top says. I swear, I've never heard of a college allowing payments to be made monthly for tuition."

Another follower wrote, "I’d call it more grifting than anything. She’s preying on people. She’s asking for those less fortunate to send her money. I can’t imagine being able to live with myself, if I chose to beg for $$$, knowing I had money in the bank. Those donating think that will make her their friend. It’s really sad."
