Who is Scott? Here's why 'Love Match Atlanta' fans are against Ming finding another match for him
Ming discovers how his client, Scott, left his date hanging alone in the bar in the latest episode of 'Love Match Atlanta.' Fans believe he does not deserve it, as she considers finding a better match for him.
In the most recent episodes of 'LMA,' Atlanta matchmaker Ming worked with her latest client, Scott, to help him find love. Scott is a bar owner who doesn't seem to have many opportunities to get out and meet new people. Due to his work responsibilities, he has little to no time for relationships. As he tries to balance his personal and professional lives, he seeks professional assistance from matchmaker, Ming Clark.

After hours of grooming and coaching, Ming finds a date for him that she believes would be a good fit for Scott. Ming pairs Scott with Gina, who is as creative and artistic as Scott, as the matchmaker believed it would be a fun icebreaker. Ming discovered that, while Scott is laid-back, he prefers women who are "fun and outgoing." Ming believes that women who bring something out of him would be a good fit for him. Ming chooses Gina as his date, as she seemed to be checking all those boxes. As part of her "post-date update," she phones Gina and learns about Scott's unacceptable behavior on the date.
As Ming talks to Gina, the latter opens up about her experience on the date. Gina mentions that they had a lot in common and had a fantastic talk at the start of the date. But then, near the end of the night, Scott stands up and decides to depart, citing work-related issues. Gina admits that she was expecting him to walk her to the car or, at the very least, outside. It was "tacky" to her that he had left her there at the bar. Gina recounts how she expected him to end the evening properly (considering how nicely they started), which regrettably did not happen.
Ming is enraged with Scott since she has never had a client walk out on a date like that. She was concerned that Scott's conduct might tarnish her image as a matchmaker. She summons Scott for a one-on-one meeting to attempt to figure out what transpired on the date and why he acted the way he did. When Scott arrives at Ming's office, she questions him directly about "his" date experience. Scott confesses that he liked Gina because she was easy to talk to and had things in common with him. Ming then confronts him about his actions and inquires as to why he abruptly walked out on the date even though he liked her.
Scott didn't reveal much except he gave the same reason he told Gina. When Ming tries to explain that if he keeps acting like this, it will be difficult for her to find someone for him, he chooses to personally apologize to Gina. Ming calls Gina and the two clear the air. Scott realizes his mistake and apologizes for leaving abruptly without fully tackling the problem, and wishes her luck for the future.
The lack of desire in attempting to fix things with Gina certainly confused the viewers, as Ming moves on and finds another date for him. One of the fans took to Twitter and wrote: "He Did NOT like her hence he left her a** at the BAR… he didn’t say let’s try it again… he said I wish u the best !!!!!!!!!! @MCMatchmaker @TanaCGilmore @Date_Favor @GayDatingCoach @BravoTV @KelliKFisher @Joseph_C_Dixon @lprimus #lovematchatlanta"
