The official trailer of 'The Boys' Season 5 has been revealed. 'The Boys' showrunner Eric Kripke and the star cast unveiled the highly anticipated trailer on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the CCXP Brazil Event. Along with this, the makers of the hit superhero television series also revealed the premiere date of 'The Boys' Season 5. The fifth and final season of the satirical superhero television series is scheduled to drop on Amazon Prime Video on April 8, 2026. "We're going out with a f****n bang. It's The Boys final season teaser trailer, folks. Get ready to climax April 8," Prime Video wrote on social media as it shared the trailer.

As soon as 'The Boys' trailer dropped, fans flocked to the comments section to express their excitement. "OMG! Jensen and Jared are back on our screens together," wrote one, while another commented, "Homelander beating the s**t out of the heritable leaker diabolical.” A third netizen went on to say, "Jared and Misha and Styx, what in the supernatural multiverse is going on?" "The Boys are back together. I’m not ready," another user remarked.

Notably, in the upcoming season of 'The Boys', Hughie, Mother's Milk, and Frenchie will all be seen imprisoned in a "Freedom Camp", and Homelander will be ruling supreme by bending the world to his erratic, maniacal whims. On the other hand, Annie will fight against the overwhelming Supe force. Eventually, Butcher returns, ready and willing to unleash a virus that will eradicate all the supes from the face of the earth. Butcher will make some moves that will forever change the world and everyone in it. The first two episodes of 'The Boys' Season 5 will be released on April 8, 2025. Following that, fans will get to watch a brand-new episode every Wednesday until the series finale, which is slated to premiere on May 20, 2026.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Kripke shed light on the connection between 'Gen V' Season 2 and 'The Boys' Season 5. Kripke said, "Part of the fun of wrapping out season two that way is that we really get to set the table for season five, where there's now this active and growing resistance led by Starlight that A-Train is an important part of. They're really trying to take the fight back to Homelander and this sort of fascist government. By the same respect, we still work hard to try to maintain our balance that The Boys is about The Boys, and Gen V is about Gen V. The characters provide crucial assists, but it's still about The Boys, and you can watch it without having watched Gen V and vice versa. But watching both is still a much more fun experience."
