Apple TV+ just dropped the fourth episode of 'Invasion' and it thrilled no one. 'Invasion' will follow an apocalyptic time on Earth as we see it being invaded by aliens. But so far, the extra-terrestrials have been missing in action much to the disappointment of fans.

Fans of the alien sci-fi genre had been anticipating the drop on AppleTV+ but had their hopes dashed with the series being very slow-paced. 'Invasion' has yet to see any sort of major excitement with us hoping the show picks up from Episode 5. Read on to get a glimpse into the fourth episode and what fans thought of it.

Apple TV+ 'Invasion' Episode 1: Will Sheriff John Bell Tyson survive?

The fourth episode of 'Invasion' failed to serve up any aliens and was extremely slow. A major chunk of the latest episode was wasted following Aneesha (Golshifteh Farahani) and Ahmed's (Firas Nassar) marital problems as they evacuate. Also stretching the episode was the hunt for Luke (Azhy Robertson) after he disappeared. Trevante (Shamier Anderson) is still in the desert wandering as he looks for his men. Finally finding one of them we see him try and escape with his fellow soldier dying. Casper (Billy Barratt) and the rest of the school students who were stuck in the ravine finally mustered up the courage and managed to climb out. Mitsuki (Shioli Kutsuna) is fired from JASA but managing to find a possible clue with the help of Mr Murai.

The common thing in all their different happenings was the complete absence of any aliens. The series is already four episodes in and for a show that is supposed to be about an alien invasion there certainly isn't any sign of an alien or an invasion. Fans too have noticed this, expressing their annoyance at the slug-like pace of the show.

A major character from Episode 1, Sheriff John Bell Tyson (Sam Neill), whose fate was left unknown in Idabel was also not explored any further. The shoddy storytelling has left fans confused and bored as they took to Twiiter to express it.

A viewer commented, "Good lord this is a slow ass burn, sheesh. #InvasionAppleTV". Yet another user tweeted, "I'm enjoying this shit, but goddamn can we get to the actual invading ? #InvasionAppleTV And what happened to the Sheriff in Oklahoma?". Another fan commented, "Watching #InvasionAppleTV is like waiting for your luggage at the carousel. I doubt this shit gets renewed for a Season 2."

Yet another user said, "4 episodes in and I’m still not sure if there are any Aliens in #InvasionAppleTV. This is some slow shit."

A viewer said, "#InvasionAppleTV sure is slow as molasses. The latest episode, I watched a whole HOUR of miserable characters mooning around until I got one scene of info. I mean, no one is pretty enough to be watched for ages sighing contemplatively. It's thriller TV not arthouse cinema."

"It is great, but it's a really slow drip and scary happened to those characters introduced in episode 1? #InvasionAppleTV," read another tweet.
