Apple TV+ 'Invasion': 5 things you never knew about Sam Neill
Apple TV+ is back with an original series and this time they brought us aliens! ' Invasion' is set to be the latest addition to the streaming network and it's quite the thrilling spectacle.
'Invasion' will follow humans from all across the continents as they try and grapple with the hard truth of going from predator to prey. The Apple TV+ show will see aliens invade Earth with mankind having to survive the creatures that now lurk amongst them. Set in an apocalyptic world we will see the perspective of the situation from different parts of the globe. Sam Neill as Sheriff John Bell Tyson
Nigel John Dermot "Sam" Neill DCNZM is a New Zealand actor, director, producer, and writer. Neil's first film was a New Zealand television movie 'The City of No' which was followed by a short, 'The Water Cycle' and the TV movie 'Hunt's Duffer'.
Neill then took to trip to Australia where he had a guest role on the TV show 'The Sullivans'. In 1981, he won his first big international role, as Damien Thorn in 'Omen III: The Final Conflict' and later he played an outstanding main role in the film 'Possession'.
An interesting fact about him is that he was in the running to play James Bond after Roger Moore but lost out to Timothy Dalton. He is well known for his roles in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993) and Jane Campion's Academy Award Winning film The Piano (1993).
In recent times he was seen as an antagonist in 'Peaky Blinders'. The talented actor has has a successful and long career playing heroes and occasionally villains in a succession of film and television dramas and comedies.
Apart from films, the 'Jurassic Park' actor and winemaker is selling his Gibbston vineyard as part of a plan to expand and diversify his wine brand.
Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha Malik
Rahavard Farahani known professionally as Golshifteh Farahan is an Iranian actress.Farahani has appeared in over 30 films, many of which have received international recognition. She was nominated for the Most Promising Actress Award for 'The Patience Stone' at the 2014 Cesar Awards in France and won the Best Actress Award for 'Boutique' from the 26th Nantes Three Continents Festival (France).
In recent years, she has had prominent roles in movies by well-known Iranian and international directors, including Asghar Farhadi, Bahman Ghobadi, Rasoul Mollagholipour, Jim Jarmusch, Ridley Scott, Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg. The actress is also quite involved in environmental causes and is an advocate for the eradication of tuberculosis in Iran. The talented actress has also dabbled in music and was a member of Kooch Neshin (Nomads), a band that won the 2nd Tehran Avenue underground rock competition. She is set to appear in 'Invasion'.
