What is 'Invasion' about
The official Apple TV + synopsis states - “Invasion” is a sweeping, character-driven science fiction drama series that follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world." The show will be set across multiple continents and will follow people across the globe as they deal with the same problem. The trailer shows power outages, fires, attacks, and more as humans try and survive. Humans are not alone anymore as extraterrestrial beings have made their way to Earth from across the universe. Who stars in the Apple TV+ thriller?
Sam Neill
Nigel John Dermot "Sam" Neill is a New Zealand actor, director, producer, and writer. His film appearances in films include 'Sleeping Dogs', 'Jurassic Park', 'Omen III: The Final Conflict', 'Possession', and more. Neill is the recipient of the AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, the Longford Lyell Award, the New Zealand Film Award, and the Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actor. He also has three Golden Globe and two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. More recently he is known for starring in the British series 'Peaky Blinders'
The series also stars Shamier Anderson (“Bruised,” “Awake”), Golshifteh Farahani (“Extraction,” “Paterson,” “Body of Lies”), Firas Nassar (“Fauda”), and Shioli Kutsuna (“Deadpool 2,” “The Outsider”).
Showrunners
Hailing from Boat Rocker Studios, “Invasion” is written and executive produced by Simon Kinberg and David Weil. Emmy Award nominee Jakob Verbruggen is the director and serves as executive producer. Audrey Chon, Amy Kaufman, and Elisa Ellis serve as executive producers alongside Andrew Baldwin, who also writes. Katie O’Connell Marsh serves as executive producer for Boat Rocker Studios.
